“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. “ John 14 v 6
Our world is governed by social distancing for the duration of Coronavirus.
It levels all society, the previously isolated and lonely for once may not feel as left out and in the minority because we are all united in our distancing!
Those of us who are more demonstrative may in fact be feeling more Isolated and bereaved for not being able to hug or hold close ones.
It is comforting to us all that there is one for whom there will never be any social distancing from and that is Jesus.
Our relationship with Him is never to be distanced. He tells us to give up selfish ambitions and follow Him.
He invites us into an intimate relationship, one which moves on from casual to committed.
From distant to close
We need to feel free to give Jesus the Master key to all areas of our life. Not just those on our terms but on His. Submission in all things.
All inclusive access and use. We can not just be a fan we need to be a follower where the balance will always come down on the things of the Father’s heart not on the things of the world.
Jesus wants us to be set apart, clothed and identified as His. Seen to be different in thought word and deed to those of the world and neither be on the fence and of two minds.
Only then will we become seen as to having something the world wants. A tangible something that carries us to The Kingdom here on Earth right now. Something that gives the sweet fragrance of Jesus in us.
A something that links us to God. That link is Jesus.
Being a Christian is not something we did but who we know and who we have chosen to serve. Jesus as opposed to the enemy.
It may be our prayer that more significant people in leadership and in decision making roles come to recognise that authority and priority in their judgement and decree making.
“God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven!
God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort!
God blesses those people who are humble. The earth will belong to them!
God blesses those people who want to obey him more than to eat or drink. They will be given what they want!
God blesses those people who are merciful. They will be treated with mercy!
God blesses those people whose hearts are pure. They will see him!
God blesses those people who make peace. They will be called his children!
God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven.
God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me.
Be happy and excited!
You will have a great reward in heaven. Matthew 5:3-12 CEV
The Illustration represents the multitudes in the world who because of the salvation and redeeming action of the cross are acceptable to God. But only if they link onto the connecting link of Jesus, believe in Him, who gives them access to to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
The Three in one of the Holy Trinity.
Two scriptures that come to mind are :
“Then Jesus said to all the people: If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross every day and follow me. Luke 9 v 23
If you want to save your life, you will destroy it. But if you give up your life for me, you will save it.” Luke 9 v 24
