BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 48( Less is Greater, Greater is less ).

There is much corruption seen in the world and the ways of sin. People who do not have God as their master and Jesus their King, can easily be ignorant of right and wrongs.

We have been given a world and ourselves to steward.

We have a manual in the word form of the bible and in the New Covenant times we have an advocate of the Holy Spirit as our inner voice and guide to what is right and from God.

Words that were commandments written on stone in the Old Testament are now written in our hearts.

We have freedom to make choices. How closely they align to Gods will reflects on the outcomes both in us and the world.

What we are perhaps not so aware of in the mix is the influence and warfare also of an enemy .

There Is an enemy posing as the ruler and prince of the world who we met in Genesis who corrupted Paradise, the Garden of Eden, by tempting it’s Occupants to sin and disobey God.

We all know how Eve was tempted by the serpent, Satan, to eat of the forbidden fruit along with Adam and the curse and the pain of the world that followed.

Satan, the fallen angel, has always tried to usurp God’s perfect kingdom and as fanciful as it may sound there is a very real spiritual battle still ongoing of good over evil.

A battle I hasten to add already won at the cross.

The enemy has other names well descriptive of his nature, the deceiver because he lies, the accuser because he whispers constant negativities in our ear, makes promises he cannot fulfil.

He, unlike God is NOT Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Creator of all. However we do need to be mindful of his ways to guard ourselves.

Be aware of a voice, the opposite and easily distinguished from God’s.

God’s voice always uplifts and we can feel at peace with what He says.

It is my belief that failure to enlighten people to this warfare and enemy has served Satan well. People will blame God for actions in the world that are birthed in sin from Satan. Walk blindly into enemy territory unaware of his vices and ploys.

An excellent C S Lewis book called ‘The Screwtape Letters’ portrays the cunning way that Satan’s mind invades our thinking.

We have no cause to fear Satan because he has already been overcome by Jesus on the cross we just need to be aware and wise to his guile’s.

In Jesus name he will flee.

The illustration shows us stood firmly on the sword of truth coming from the Holy Spirit. The world with Satan depicted as the serpent breaking out of it as sin and temptation. Made insignificant by Jesus as the victor and true ruler, always standing larger because of His victory at the Cross.

Jesus has already defeated Satan at the cross.

His salvation paid the price for all our sins.

Two scriptures that come to mind:

We battle not against flesh and blood but against principalities Eph 6 v 12

“Then I heard a voice from heaven shout, “Our God has shown his saving power, and his kingdom has come! God’s own Chosen One has shown his authority. Satan accused our people in the presence of God day and night. Now he has been thrown out!”
