One word from His mouth changes everything.
I believe lots of people are hearing Gods voice at the moment.
It’s as if we are on a path right now where there are so many experiences building our character that both good and bad they are providing food for the spirit that are like gem stones littered along it to be seen and picked up as we go.
Either to keep safe and close to our own being or to be collected and given to others.
These truths call out who we are and what matters. They show us the things that matter to the Lord.
Some of that is joyous and makes our heart leap and some of it tears at our hearts and can be more painful.
This close walk of journeying with the Lord shows us so much hope and some of the fragrance is so strong it imparts compassion especially for the sacrifices of others.
Truth in love has no compromise.
It is all giving. It heals the wounds we are afraid of.
God calls people out to do amazing things, bigger than any of us could imagine.
Much is a subconscious calling to the doer at the point of time but a precious gem stone to be held close and to become more and more aware of in its value and beauty to the point of full recognition in their future being.
It changes us.
The gems given away likewise to Others to ponder upon can change them.
God pursues us.
He has done so since pursuing Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden when they first ran away to hide from him in their shame of disobedience.
He cares about what matters to us. He gets it. He is connected to us.
He uses what he knows we have good understanding of to teach us more.
How many times were Peter’s lessons of revelation and understanding related to fish and water?
Jesus knew he would get the connection it was such familiar territory.
God knows us inside out and the gems He has to give us are ones right there in front of us everyday. We learn to open our eyes and ears and spot them.
Right now He is on repeat for many of us.
The illustration is of gem stones faceted shaped and coloured to show such diversity. Many having to be sought after and mined out of the earth. Some discovered visibly washed or eroded to the surface. Many gems have developed as a result of being under immense pressure.Individually or multiply they create beauty and worth.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”Romans 8:14-17 ESV
“You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, ”Ezekiel 28:12-13 ESV

Hi Jan
Beautiful imagery. I often find a smooth stone collected from somewhere in a pocket. I hold in my palm and quietly contemplate. Sending love. Perhaps when the sunshine returns we can have a socially distanced coffee or gentle stroll?Jude x
