BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS 56 ( Less is Greater, Greater is less ).

If a prayer does not move me it will not move Him.

‘Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will refresh you.‘

An exchange has to take place on the basis of that truth.

Whatever burden we have on our heart whether it be personal or in proxy for another the weight of it has to be taken to Jesus and handed over.

As He receives it He is moved to bear it and deal with it and from that exchange we can have rest and peace.

Jesus’ last words to His disciples and therefore equally to us were that it was better for Him to go because then He can send His Holy Spirit.

It begged some understanding from them as they had no idea what was to come but for us who know how the story progressed it begs another question.

Is what He sent, The Holy Spirit, better than having Jesus with us?

The answer hinges on how much we allow the Power of the Holy Spirit to work in our prayers and our lives.

He is available to everyone and we can pray with one accord. It requires us to daily turning our attention towards God with supplication and intercession.

God designed us to have comfort and pleasure and yet true prayer can be like labour pains in birthing.

There is a need to feel the grief and the pain and discomfort and in so doing aligning with the Lords heart.

He can move mountains.

He has the solution to every issue that has been, is and will be to come.

It will be the work of the Holy Spirit that unites all divisions and breaks down all barriers and enables us to walk in victory.

If it can only be His work it gives us every reason to reach out in prayer to Him in real earnest.

Cry out from the heart.

We could walk again in the ways of the early church where Paul’s shadow falling across people as he walked by could heal them.

Jesus promised greater works than His time on earth.

The touching of a hem or cloth belonging to could create a miracle.

God’s glory could be seen again at work but it starts with prayer.

Prayer that moves you so deeply it moves Him too.

The illustration was inspired by the words in the song ‘Marching on our knees we march to love. ‘

It is in prayer that we meet with love and can become more like Him.

When we know Jesus we know Love.

It is His name.

The spectrum colours as usual represent the Holy Spirit.

The trees at the top bend with His power the wind.

The waves continue to roll in . To ebb and flow where He moves.

Two scriptures that come to mind:

“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4, 6-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25:2‬ ‭ESV‬‬
