Wisdom is a divine vision.
It sees right into the structure of something.
How it is made.
What makes it work the way it does.
Or why it is broken.
What has broken it.
What can remake or mend.
The solving of the solution.
This Knowledge or discerning or wisdom is the work of the Holy Spirit.
He abides in and wears each of us in such a way that He alone can experiences our experience and can minister to it.
We in turn can clothe ourselves in the Holy Spirit and be filled secondarily with that discernment, knowledge and wisdom.
In the Old Testament the first mention of anyone being filled with the Holy Spirit was when God told Moses that Bezalel should be filled with the creative wisdom and craftsmanship to create the structure God desired.
In the New Testament God fills people with the Holy Spirit to give them many faceted acts of power to fulfil His ministry.
The NT does not displace the OT but uses it as the foundation to stand upon to work to form the Kingdom.
They both are needed to understand and fulfil the whole.
It appears that the Holy Spirit today, more than ever is just wanting people, to obey and move quickly along with Him.
A sense almost that we will need to run to keep up and not be left behind.
The time He has been preparing us for.
The illustration shows a multifaceted diamond set into a gold setting and shank of a ring.
The crafted gold setting represents the OT wisdom created to hold and support the NT like the shoulders to stand upon.
The NT power in all the facets cut into the diamond representing the Holy Spirit reflecting Light as the Spectrum.
The two together needed to complete the whole circle, the whole ring.
Three scriptures that come to mind are:
“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,”Exodus 31:2-4 ESV
“and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”Ephesians 3:9-10 ESV
“which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.”Ephesians 3:5 ESV
