We as Christians carry the name of Christ.
In all circumstances we should reflect Him as in a mirror. His words should fall out of our mouths.
We should bear His fruit so that if we were to be squeezed it would be Jesus Juice that came out of us .
We Must hold onto all that Jesus is and be a New Creation.
We belong to Jesus and His Kingdom.
He is the prescription to heal the Spiritual pandemic we are amidst alongside the coronavirus pandemic at this time.
James is a small NT book of five chapters and yet within are 12 wise doses required in this prescription for Christian life and healing.
We need Wisdom which comes only from God.“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
We need an income to give and share not just to Cosset for ourselves. “For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.”James 1:11
We need not to blame either others or God for our temptations or weaknesses. “Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.” James 1:13
We need to listen and be slow to speak especially in anger “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” James 1:19-20
We need to know we are all equal in God’s eyes, none of us better than another. “If you really fulfil the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressor James 2:8-9
We need to not only have faith but to put words into actions. “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2:14-17
We need not to lead others astray by our teaching. “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.”James 3:1-2
We must guard what we say as men can create good or evil with words. “So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!” James 3:5
We must be set apart from the wrongs of the world to be a reflection of God.“For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” James 3:16-17
We should not defer what we know we ought to do. “yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”James 4:14-15
We need to be patient and courageous not complaining or judgemental. “You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.” James 5:8-9
We need to pray to give thanks, to confess, Pray for one another, to heal. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16
How much improved would we and mankind be under this remit!
As Christ intended.
