It is important that we operate in the Now because that is where God, Who called Himself. ‘ I Am ‘ is operating.
Yesterday and last week no longer exist.
Jesus said no one who looks back is fit for the kingdom.
He also said do not have cares for tomorrow for it will have enough troubles of it’s own.
Also He said. Today is the day of salvation Today He is our all in all.
He is always the same yesterday today and tomorrow and He wants to be reflected in us identically too.
His heart never changes He is always merciful, gracious, generous and Forgiving.
However differently we may feel we are always accepted and beloved in the now.
Even if we feel we have failed there is no condemnation.
He has already saved us.
We are fully forgiven, freed from guilt, and free from judgement.
It is the enemy, the liar who encourages us to look back.
We are who God says we are.
We are children of God. Heirs and co- heirs with Christ. We have a full inheritance to the Kingdom and eternal life.
If we remember who and what we are now we do not have to pray for what we already have nor wait for what we already have.
Ours is just to have faith and believe it.
Be a loyal supporter and follower of Jesus. Stay true to Him and he reciprocates.
Nothing otherwise depends on us because He has already done it.
He cleansed us of our sins, made us holy and made us one with God.
He did this at the cross and the veil was ripped from top to bottom so we were certain it was God ripping it from above and we were reunited and fit to be in relationship with Him again.
We no longer have to achieve what Jesus has achieved for us.
If we believe that we live in Christ and He in us we must also believe that we are in Spirit Holy as there is nothing imperfect in Christ.
This is the secret of living a Christian life because we know we cannot do it but Christ can.
The perfect One is in us.
We understandably have difficulty seeing ourselves, when we know ourselves, in this light but that is how God sees us, as beautiful.
Beauty is not our outer appearance but our inner heart where Jesus dwells. We can only speak like this of ourselves out loud when we believe that Jesus is within and He makes us beautiful.
That is Now and I have been accepted Now, I am a co- heir Now, I have the gift of eternal life Now and our faith is uplifted.
It keeps our belief in Him strengthened and in ourselves submitted.
In our Spirit we are perfected, in our soul life we are still being transformed and in our natural self we are weak.
God knows us intimately.
We don’t have to explain ourselves, our thoughts or our needs.
He sees us as perfect because Jesus has already taken our punishment and healed and saved us.
We might feel we need to be punished for some misdemeanour but God is just and knowing it has already been dealt with he will not need to punish a second time.
Our confession suffices.
It sounds too easy but it is the Father who opens His arms and holds us close with no condemnation.
He just welcomes us in His mercy.
We have the blessing of the Kingdom Now.
God is amazing.
The illustration is of God the Father reaching out always in the Now.
Present in every moment and detail.
The Creator of all things present and intimate in every moment in each of us.
In the Now.
Three scriptures that come to mind
“Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.””Luke 9:62 ESV
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”Matthew 6:34 ESV
“For he says, “In a favourable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favourable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”2 Corinthians 6:2 ESV

Hi Jude. Good to hear from you. Good to know you still find value in reading the blogs. I feel encouraged that yours are becoming a fuller revelation of your thoughts journaling where you are in the now. Recognition that the past you is morphing into a mature wisdom of so many facets of who you were and who you are becoming. New can be so challenging and yet we know that it has so much value as it rests on the sum of what has preceded. The depth of your inner being, the spiritual you, goes on into eternity with nothing wasted. I’ve copied and pasted this below in case it helps you. Forgive me if it doesn’t I don’t intend to preach to you!
Hope the art is still going well and that the sun hurries back!!

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).
You are comprised of at least two major parts: your material self and your immaterial self. The outer man is your physical body, and the inner man is your soul/spirit that includes the ability to think, to feel, to choose (mind, emotions and will are often collectively identified as the soul), and to relate to God (spirit). Your body is in union with your soul/spirit, and that makes you physically alive.
As a Christian, your soul/spirit is in union with God as a result of your conversion, and that makes you spiritually alive. When God created Adam, he was totally alive – physically and spiritually. But because of Adam’s sin and subsequent spiritual death, every person who comes into the world is born physically alive but spiritually dead. Being separated from God, you lacked the presence and wisdom of God in your life, so you learned to live independently of God, centering your interests on yourself. This learned independence from God is characteristic of the flesh or the old nature.
When you were born again, your soul/spirit was united with God and you came alive spiritually, as alive as Adam was in the garden before he sinned. As the epistle of Ephesians repeatedly declares, you are now in Christ, and Christ is in you. Since Christ who is in you is eternal, the spiritual life you have received from Him is eternal. You don’t have to wait until you die to get eternal life; you possess it right now! Our hope does not lie in the preservation of the outer man. It lies in the developing nature of the inner man. Our soul is in union with God and we are being renewed day by day. We will eventually lose our physical life, but not our spiritual life. Our emphasis should be on what is eternal, not on what is temporal.
Lord, I won’t lose heart over the setback in my life today because my hope lies in my eternal union with You.
