We already believe that we live in God’s presence and He is within us.
As Christians we would also agree that we already believe God is Holy, perfect , righteous.
There is nothing unholy in Christ.
Scripture also declares that I am in Christ.
If We say Christ has nothing unholy in Him I must agree that I am therefore Holy.
Scripture is the word of truth and it says
We are made Holy and perfect in Christ.
It is important that we know what the word, the truth reveals to us.
We need to believe in what is revealed.
We need to act upon what we believe to bear fruit.
We, in our soul life and our sins, died with Jesus on the cross.
It is now He who lives in us who makes us Holy, a saint.
He made us a new creation and therefore blameless and enabled us to live as perfect in Him.
Biblically it says:
In the past tense ‘ we have been made Holy.
In the past tense. ‘ He has made perfect for ever those who are being made Holy.
This doesn’t immediately seem compatible Because we know in the natural we are, in our soul lives, not always perfect.
We are a work in progress, we have to put faith in and believe This doesn’t immediately seem compatible Because we know in the natural we are, in our soul lives, not always perfect.
Another word of scripture
‘ If we confess our sins He is good to believe and forgive us.’ He then forgets our transgressions.
In God’s mercy we can therefore be spiritually holy and living within Him who is Holy and perfect.
We also have to accept we sometimes get it wrong and will be in need of confessing and repenting when we do.
We can be restored each day to this place.
Having Christ in us is the secret of a Christian life.
Nothing is impossible for God.
When Jesus was made man and came to serve us, His starting point was to be in unity and at one with the Father. He could do nothing without.
Our starting point is to be in unity and at one with Christ. We can do nothing without.
Daily we are restored to this place in one minute and three steps.
By Repentance, asking for forgiveness for where we have failed.
Praising, declaring and accepting the truth He is in us and we in Him.
Casting our burdens upon Him to let them go.
Look not to ourselves instead fix our eyes upon Jesus.
There is no condemnation, God will reveal more truths and encourage us to let go of things impeding us. Lavishing His love on us as he refines us.
His desire is to impart His life through us and the fruit we harvest is for more people to come to know and say ‘yes’ to Him and His Kingdom.
To be set free.
The illustration is the image of Jesus within us and of us being within Him.The pervading spectrum of the Holy Spirit. The red of His refining fire and the gold of His Glory.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
“And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,”1 Corinthians 1:30 ESV
“But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.”Hebrews 10:12-14 ESV
