“But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart.”
God wants us to live in the reality of His promises.
To be filled with hope.
To be in the promised land not still circling in the hope of reaching that place.
The Israelites, the children of the promised land circled round 40 years.
Living in the promise and hope but not the reality.
And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night?
Will he delay long over them?
Crying out in prayer for His hand to move.
We seem to be living now in a pivotal time of change in the world.
A sense of moving from an old to a new landscape.
It feels as if God is bringing us to another brink of change both as individuals and as His church.
God desires His kingdom for us but it requires for us to desire it and pray with determination and conviction for God’s will to be.
It’s as if God is ready to move and being God we know Him to be capable of instant action, change reformation.
However, He waits upon us.
He is waiting for us to be ready and rightly positioned individually and as His body the church.
Many of whom who find safety in the past and familiar and who fear change and the new.
There is no fruit in the promise only when it is fulfilled.
We can only fulfil with God when we are at one and united in heart.
His will being done.
Also we are only as useful to God as the effectiveness of our prayers aligning.
Our crying out.
God hears the cries of those who are submitted in the same way as Jesus was submitted to His Father.
To see the will of God outworked is our daily prayer.
To be in agreement with Him.
He is our Hope.
The illustration of a mouth represents our words.
Words can speak things into being.
Our words can Create good and evil, destroy or give life.
They need to be mindfully used.
What we say portrays who we are.
Our lips can speak to God in prayer.
Our lips can speak of God.
Four scriptures which come to mind:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”Jeremiah 29:ESV
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”Hebrews 10:23 ESV
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:37-39 ESV
