Know the Bible
It not only gives us knowledge intellectually but God speaks to our hearts.
Let us pursue God not flee away as Jonah.
Listen to His word and pursue it .
Do not be too busy to read the Word.
Now is the time when we will receive so much Revelation from doing so and equip ourselves with wisdom and understanding.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
The bible is inspired.
It’s author is God.
It is about God.
He will teach us if we read His word. God knows each and everyone of us intimately and can guide us with that wisdom through His scriptures.
Alongside the prayer, God what do you want me to know in my heart right now? He will reveal and steer us.
There is a change in the paradigm now which shifts how we perceive things.
As if there is a dismantling and then a rearranging and reordering of things.
There is as much to be revealed to us all, however long we have been convicted of our faith.
The landscape and horizon into unchartered territory is there for us all.
In the dismantling we may find we need to hang up one mantle we have clothed ourselves in for a while and put on our newly prepared mantle.
Fit for what is new in God’s purpose for us or purely to enable more ease in the purpose we have already discerned is ours.
We need to go after mirages for ourselves and position ourselves in front of the flood gates ready to be there as the tsunami of the Holy Spirit out pours so that we are ready and willing to serve.
Lay down our opinions and not get in the way of what God is doing.
Feeling confident and equipped because we have been individually tutored by God Himself in His Word.
The bible doesn’t hold the answer to all things but God does. We get to know Him in there and to build up the relationship with Him that we yearn for and thirst after.
The illustration shows God and Jesus’ accomplishment on the Cross always at the centre and rooted firm. The layers, like those of an onion the layers of revelation revealed to us through the seasons and years of our lives. The eternal growth and maturity, each layer standing on the strength of the previous. The weightiness and fullness would be beyond our comprehension in the early seasons but gradually unveil to a powerful wisdom.
Four scriptures that come to mind:
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”Hosea 4:6 ESV
“For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”Matthew 13:12 ESV
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”John 16:13 ESV
