Open our lips to say “YES.” You are perfect.
God prepares us in advance for His purposes in our lives.
We live our lives live! It is not a case of prerecording it and then editing it before it goes live.
Although when we recognise our errors we can ask forgiveness and edit it out in that way!
However, I firmly believe that God speaks to us and works our experiences ahead of time to make us ready for our response to His purpose when it arises.
The times when we might say well if I hadn’t done this then I would never have known to step out and do this now.
God has already given many of us the compassion, love, desire, sight In our heart to go and do what He wants us to do.
It just leaves us to say ‘Yes‘ and to go.
He always wants His children to co- partner with Him rather than for Him to impose.
Scripture says ‘we know in part , we prophecy in part.’
We don’t have to fully understand the whole picture. His revelation to us is just as much as we need and He builds upon that again later as the vision unfolds
He just needs us ready to say ‘Yes ‘ to trust.
At this time I sense it is more and more important to familiarise ourselves with and get to know what is in God’s Word the Bible.
Personally I am finding suddenly a new relevance in the OT. because so much of God’s Covenant, His promise never to leave or forsake us and to love us with an unfailing love and much more is in evidence here.
Also so much of what the prophets pointed towards and so much of the History and stories speaks out for today’s circumstances.
That I’m reading it with a new hunger and with insights I hadn’t seen before, particularly certain books repeatedly coming to mind.
Previously I found so much mor in the NT because it enlightened us about Jesus and His Kingdom. How to think, see and be like Jesus. The Gospels are His story the start of His church and revelation.
I sense this partially goes hand in hand with this shift from a time or era where Shepherding was the overall sense of the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Now We sense a time, era, where we need to be equipped more for moving forward, advancing with our weapons against the enemy in one hand and Our tools to build the new in the other.
The illustration is simply of a closed mouth which daily should open with the word of ‘yes’ on it’s lips as we come close in prayer and as the Holy Spirit prompts us to respond.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
“For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.”1 Corinthians 13:9-10 ESV
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV
