Rise up sons and daughters. Or wake up
Lots of us, I think it is true to say, have felt ourselves to be on an emotional roller coaster.
Potentially it can in turn make us feel a bit disoriented, dizzy, at sea and not feeling 100% well!
One way of coming to some islands of safety is to recall the spirit and nature of a child.
On the one hand to find the adventure in the crisis moments and go along with whoever and whatever in anticipation and expectation of it leading to new excitement at the end of the ride.
We can be assured that is God’s destiny into the future for each of us.
On the other hand is the child’s desire to mundanely want to do it ‘again’ repeatedly even if it is a problem or unachieved goal.
Or something already circled round, re done with what, as adults we might perceive as monotony.
Daily life may appear monotonous and we need to exalt in redoing or finding a way of turning it round to our pleasure.
God exalts in monotony, in making insignificant moments into momentous. Our creative God can paint a story into each of our days.
We are moving into a ‘high place season ‘. The wind blows in high places. The air is thin. Biblically God meets with people in High places such as on mountains, in Upper rooms, at the top of ladders.
There’s an invitation ‘come up’ to encounter, to come face to face with Him, for His Glory to be seen.
It would be good for us to create a high place in our daily lives, in our homes. A place above distractions and the world.
A place which will allow us to with a single mind focus on Him and allow Him to take us up and out of what is dragging us down and re instate us to our sense of joy and peace that only He can bring
This recalibrating us from humdrum, good intentions and realigns us with God.
It is failure to walk in our own strength and accomplishments.
It is victory to walk in God’s strength and accomplishments.
Be uplifted on high by He who knows your every need.
The illustration is of us as seen by God. We sensing a roller coaster experience of our emotions and He seeing us ascend to higher places on each mountain where the wind of the Holy Spirit blows over us in the spectrum colours.

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”James 1:2-3 ESV
“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31 ESV
