Surrender in Worship.
It pleases God that we give priority and attention on Him.
Consider it a gift when God becomes your only option.
In worship we can get to the end of ourselves and focus only on God and that opens our hearts to His blessings and whatever He wants to do in our lives.
In life we get under all sorts of influences of pressure and these whatever they may be disturb our soul.
We get into a place of defence, hurt, anger.
Worship music and worshipping lifts us right out of that place to the top of the mountain where we can perceive His presence and receive his favour again.
It is a place where our hearts open again and we can see because the veil has lifted.
It is a place that brings freedom.
It is a place where belief and faith are reinstated and become activated again.
The finger lifts from pause.
It takes abandoning yourself to God, submitting.
‘When they turned their eyes were opened‘
Spiritual laziness is broken off as we have chosen to position ourselves before God in worship and pressures around us are broken off as we do so.
Worship stirs up the Holy Spirit within us and He brings us joy and peace.
Transversally World experiences and Social Media stirs up a mental battle in us which takes hold in chaos and stress.
Worship elevates our minds and solves our mental challenge.
Our mind and bodies get out of sorts because of the lack of the presence of God.
Worship music reconnects us.
David played over Saul and drove his demons away. Worship music can do that for us too.
It is a gift which opens us to revelation and brings us clarity of knowledge and vision.
It is a key to emotional health.
There is a joy in giving thanks to the Lord which can evaporate negative thoughts.
There is a power in speaking or singing out loud things we are thankful for in our lives. It tramples under foot the enemies lies.
It names and claims God is Good as our cornerstone and upholds us.
It aligns us with God and the Holy Spirit within us.
It turns us from giving in to moments of despair over stuff out of our control to rejoicing and thanks giving and giving burdens over.
It gives us hope that as one door closes God has another chapter already written.
A hope for what lies ahead to be better.
It helps us to remember that Faith does not deny the existence of problems it denies the influence that they can have over us.
Enables us to turn the rejoice button on and volume right up.
To proclaim God is good.
Some things look beyond the point of return but nothing is impossible with God. He speaks over things and decrees them.
We go into worship feeling low and we come out feeling empowered and in Superman stance to deal with everything.
We also, from this connection with God, find ourselves lured into a place of prayer and intercession in assurance that we are aligning with Him.
This is why people with a prayer language of Tongues will easily fall into singing in Tongues within worship.
We gain authority to stand firm. We are blessed and anointed. We too are ready to move mountains in Gods strength!
The illustration is of us arms raised eyes lifted up abandoned in praise and worship to God. Encapsulated within His presence within and without. The sense of the Holy Spirit pervading us and removing all else.
Bathed in His glory.
The two scriptures that come to mind:
“But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see. Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom. We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.2 Corinthians 3:16-18 TPT
“Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me. Forever you’re all I need! Those who abandon the worship of God will perish. The false and unfaithful will be silenced, never heard from again. But I’ll keep coming closer and closer to you, Lord Yahweh, for your name is good to me. I’ll keep telling the world of your awesome works, my faithful and glorious God!”Psalms 73:26-28 TPT
