Put God first in your life in all circumstances.
He has got you in the middle of the storm.
He Is on the Rock.
He is rooted.
He is immovable.
It is in every storm we learn how to stand firm with Him and face it. To not turn away and run in fear.
‘‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you.’”
God is sovereigns and commands us to love and put Him first. If we turn our focus on Him in times of trial or crisis we are immediately calmed and positioned in the best place to see clearly to deal with it.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Jesus is the only constant and immovable in our lives.
In any storm when everything is in orbit and moving He is rooted on the rock foundation solid and firm to cling on to until the storm has passed.
Indeed at all times.
Having turned to God first secondly turn to others just as this is second in His commandments.
“And the second is like it in importance: ‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.”
Allow others to speak into your storm and situation. Allow them also to comfort you.
Allow them to pray for you and with you in petition.
Allow them to love and serve you and be obedient to their calling.
Thirdly break off the attack of the enemy.
Laugh at his impotence.
His failure in the name of Jesus to have power or influence. Cast him aside as the already defeated one that he is.
Know your warrior and survival tools in the battle of the storm all hinge around your faith and belief in the steadfastness of Jesus.
He is constant and does not move.
Whatever the outcome you then are victorious and can praise Him.
The illustration shows us seeking and praising Jesus and God through Him.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”Philippians 4:6 ESV
“Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.”Psalms 16:5 TPT
“The authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm.”Philippians 2:10 TPT
