BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS 93. ( Less is Greater, Greater is less ).

“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

Church is an expression of Hope.

The church will take her place In this fight for justice and righteousness that the prophet Amos spoke out.

Just as Jesus was our role model to be abundant in the role of bringing love, justice and righteousness into His kingdom it is a delight to see so much in action right now .

So many churches united in providing for the marginalised, those in poverty, the homeless, hungry, discriminated against.

The Love Your Neighbour was quoted a while back to have provided two million meals alongside its other services!

There is hope in the fact that it is both coloured and white who are marching alongside one another to unite us all as one race in humanity.

God loves all those who were made in His image and it is wonderful to see this love extended on through the church countering what Martin Luther King described as the Poverty like a monstrous Octopus extending it’s tentacles all over the world.

There is hope that investment has already been made in homelessness becoming a thing of the past. Locally there is much to celebrate in what has been stepped up with the Stay project and other initiatives.

There was hope in, what was fleetingly reported by the media fairly recently, of Millionaires choosing to be taxed at a higher rate to inject more into the reserves of need for the economy as it sits at the moment.

There is hope in the greater numbers of people being drawn to seek out God on line and being transformed by the popularity of New seeker moves such as Alpha.

God’s love, Jesus’ humility and the Holy Spirits tenacity poured out will set such captives free.

The illustration shows the humility of the blended knee . The recognition that not only in respect for others but in unity with the recognition that it is only through God that this will come to be and the hope that now is the time of change. The knee bent in prayer.

Scriptures “who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,”‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The song is. God of justice.      Tim Hughes
