BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS 95 ( Less is Greater, Greater is less ).

“And when you speak anointed words, we are speaking mouth to mouth! Don’t allow the actions of evil men to cause you to burn with anger. Instead, burn with unrelenting passion as you worship God in holy awe.”

There are various things in others or in the world which if we are not careful give rise to us judging and wanting to condemn or seek revenge or bewail injustice. Take things into our own authority.

Jesus, however, implores us to not take it upon ourselves. It is not our place to judge the world or anyone.

It is Jesus who calls us to Himself who says come through the narrow gate, meaning Him who holds the place of judgement.

He is filling us up with His righteousness that we might choose and go through Him to His kingdom.

It says in scripture that many will choose the wide path, the ways of the world instead of Him and to these He will say I do not recognise you.

This chapter follows on from the end of Matthew 6 where He has already said.

” But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

The narrower the gate becomes the more glory comes from it.

It is like the narrowing of the birth canal. Being reborn not from our mother, flesh but born again from the Spirit as we accept and submit to a life with Jesus alive within us because we have died to our sinful nature.

Jesus invites us to reign with Him contending against the enemy.

He invites us to pursue and partner with Him in distinguishing between holy and unholy.

To become people with His heart to serve others and be recognisable by the fruits we bear.

Recognisable as set apart from the world and the people who will form the foundation of the rock on which we build.

He is solidifying us. He is building His church and spotless bride.

We go through the narrow gate.

Revelations describes the bridegroom returning. Christ with crowns on His head and look into His eyes of flames.

The illustration shows the Revelation’s Christ with deep eyes of flames

Four scriptures which come to mind:

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Come to God through the narrow gate, because the wide gate and broad path is the way that leads to destruction—nearly everyone chooses that crowded road! The narrow gate and the difficult way leads to eternal life—so few even find it!””‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭

“I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father.”‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.”‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬
