“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”Isaiah 41:10 ESV
We are one with God.
He does not keep us at a distance.
We only fail if we think we can overcome in our own strength.
Our battle is not with flesh and blood but with principalities.
One such is named and describe in the bible as Leviathan as Satan a spirit of Pride and accusation, twisted communications, suspicion and with critical accusations and allegations and a hardness of heart.
Biblically he was situated just beneath the second waters and glass ceiling of heaven in the outer strata of space in Revelations but cast out as Satan.Recognised by Job and described in the final chapters 41/42 of his book.
We can sometimes feel a force over us or our family or associates of a lack of understanding in communication, where things seem to get twisted, misunderstood and negative.
Within us the effect of being in the presence of this influence can bring a sense of being disempowered, disqualified, being unworthy, churns us up inside and makes us retreat and shut down or feel drawn to retaliation.
We can personally feel under the influence of it if unknowingly; pain in our lives causes us to partner with Leviathan and in self preservation go at it in ‘I’ll do it by myself ‘ mode, instead of in unity with God. We can become hard hearted.
Leviathan is an influencer of prayer less ness. Being Non yielding. Being Self obsessed.
We will recognise some of the following in our nature as being sinful as non of us are perfect. These may be partnering with Leviathan traits.
Always using the word I because it all hinges around self.
Being easily offended.
Jealous and envious.
LookIng for fault in others and being critical.
Getting out of serving and doing little for others.
Never forgetting where you have served and where others have not served you.
Sulking if you are taken for granted or if you feel others ungrateful.
Insistent on being respected over all else.
Demanding on agreement to your views. Selfishness.
Shut down zeal for God.
Trust no one.Expect to be appreciated.Be suspicious of others motives.
Always want to look good and receive praise. Prideful.
Not one of us reading that list will feel over and above many of these!
It may draw attention to, in our hearts, which ones we need to repent of.
This spirit comes in when we are in agreement with it and is one that we are required to take authority over and be in agreement that it has non of the attributes we want to partner with.
We can be in agreement that this is not a spirit, in any part, that we want in dominance in ourselves, our homes, our churches, our government, our world.
Where we agree we can pray against it.
Part of the equation is also forgiving others.
Job forgives his friends who had been part of his deception and he was called to pray for them.
We will be in alignment and agreement with God’s will and He will answer that prayer.
His blessing will prevail as it did in the final chapter of Job.
The illustration shows a sea creature between a serpent and dragon that God created but which, as Lucifer, rebelled and had turned against Him.
Leviathan a rebellious principality already overpowered in the Kingdom but still attackIng in the world.
One we are called to denounce break away from and be delivered from.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.”Ephesians 6:12 TPT
“In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.”Isaiah 27:1 ESV
“You crushed the might of Leviathan, the great dragon, then you took the crumbs and fed them to the sharks.”Psalms 74:14 TPT
“Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook or press down his tongue with a cord?”Job 41:1 ESV
