Peter describes the church as people as living stones fitted together to build the church.
Aloneness, independence were never in God’s plan. It was a plan of unity, one body. When one bit hurts so does the whole.
When one has joy so do all.
Connectedness is intimate and far reaching.
Each has to become vulnerable in such close proximity.
No privacy, hiding away.
Everyone is accountable.
We all have sores, hard spots, painful stuff, hang ups which we shield from others and hide behind facades and hang back from revealing.
Jesus , Love, enables us to endure humiliation and to jump in with non judgmental haste alongside others.
To hug, bend over backwards, stretch out, cramp up.
Posture ourselves to accommodate others, support and bond together seamlessly as one.
Be the living stones of Jesus church and bride.
Why have we felt so dead, non living in lockdown mandates?
We have not been able to invade each other’s space and emotions.
We have all become sanitised in our relationships, non belonging.
We are meant to belong, be vulnerable, be messy bonded and united into one not fragmented.
Relationship morals formulate our personalities, our families, our churches, our cultures, our nations.
They do not stem from Isolated living, laws or governments, they stem from Jesus.
From Love.
Why God is calling out His people, His prophets, His church to not be silent.
To become the voice and the warriors to trumpet in and herald where He wants to move.
To take control and for it to not be too late.
Our life and accountability as Christians is here and now to bring the kingdom of heaven into this world.
To be the light and salt reflecting God and His authority.
Our accountability starts right now before the writing is on the wall.
This is where our action begins Loving Jesus and others enough to desire we all should be in that number.
To be a Christian is not just about doing just enough believing to get to heaven.
We find that in our relationship with the Lord.
We fear Him because we are going to stand before Him someday and give an account of our lives not to be punished but to be rewarded.
Knowing that we are going to be personally accountable before the Lord is a great driving force in our lives.
We want to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
The illustration shows the church built as living stones. Bodies postured to accommodate one another and together be bonded and united as one body of firm foundation.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
“So whether we live or die we make it our life’s passion to live our lives pleasing to him. For one day we will all be openly revealed before Christ on his throne so that each of us will be duly recompensed for our actions done in life, whether good or worthless.”

“Since we are those who stand in holy awe of the Lord, we make it our passion to persuade others to turn to him. We know that our lives are transparent before the God who knows us fully, and I hope that we are also well known to your consciences.”

Was intrigued by the painting.
How true the commentary behind it though, that can be a real toughie at times. We are laid bare before God, yet we hide behind pantomimic facades when it comes to our brothers and sisters not wanting to show our weaknesses or downfalls and Hands that flung stars into a black and empty void forgives us and loves us, oh how we need those Hands to to strengthen us to be more like His Son.
Was taken by the song. The melody was quite haunting but the words spot on.
