God has all dominion and power.
In the first three chapters of Genesis we and the world are seen as who God created us to be, in partnership with our Creator.
By the sinful action of Adam an exchange took place in partnership.
Adam transferred, exchanged his partnership and authority from God over to Satan by obeying him instead of God.
Satan took over the authority in the world and creation has been groaning ever since.
Sin is disobedience and rebellion against God.
All of us must say “if I say that I have no sin the truth is not in me.” because we all fall short of that perfection that we see in God and in Jesus.
Satan the liar, accuser and thief sits on our shoulder doing just that.
He is the creator of every negative thought and action.
The attempted destroyer of all that is good.
The atmosphere of doom and chaos.
Our Trump card is believing in what Jesus has already done on the cross.
He has already overcome Satan. Overcome death.
Set us free from the enemies power and dominion.
Jesus, in 1 Corinthians, called the last or second Adam, being made of Spirit has in His perfect obedience exchanged all authority back into the dominion of God.
It is Jesus who will come again as King and His Kingdom shall rule.
Meanwhile Satan is becoming more fearful by the day knowing his failing power.
God has no fear of the enemy. He knows his futility.
We need have no fear of him because although he may attack he flees in the name of Jesus. The writing is on the wall he is exposed more as more become enlightened.
It is in the Light of Jesus that the darkness is extinguished. We as believers also carry that revealing light. We must ensure it is fully visible and the torch passed on to every corner.
We bear the light which brings the Kingdom and Heaven back on earth.
The illustration shows Freedom from death and sin because Jesus’ blood on the cross became the final sacrifice for our sin. He redeemed all who believe in Him and know Him as Lord.
Four scriptures that come to mind:
“But like Adam they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me.”Hosea 6:7 ESV
“For the ruthless shall come to nothing and the scoffer cease, and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off,”Isaiah 29:20 ESV
““Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;”Isaiah 30:1 ESV
“For they are a rebellious people, lying children, children unwilling to hear the instruction of the Lord; who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us what is right; speak to us smooth things, prophesy illusions,”Isaiah 30:9-10 ESV
