Do not deceive people by giving half the picture of God.
Some of us have stepped into a time of limited understanding.
We have heard scripture with selective hearing.
Cherry picking what we want to hear and consequently formulating a half picture of God.
We need to know all.
Otherwise our understanding of our partnership is flawed, in turn our access to eternity could be jeopardised.
This could be where biblically God draws attention to a time of there being false teaching and false prophets.
A time when the whole of God is distorted, not portrayed accurately, thus skewing knowledge of who He is to believers to their disadvantage.
This is not just a time for blessings, mercy and love it also requires purity and therefore repentance and transformation.
God is the merciful God of love but also the wrathful God of justice and righteousness.
All of these boundaries are found in His Kingdom.
Built to His blueprint in truth not man’s opinion.
There were 400 prophets enticing King Ahab in one direction in battle and only one Michaiah was hearing God’s truth and because it was ignored by Ahab as not being what he wanted to hear Ahab was not victorious he was killed and Jehoshaphat survived and ruled.
A price was paid.
Seek to please God not man.
“Stand in the presence of the Lord in fear and reverence.”
He may provoke and challenge.
Speak words which do not tickle the ears but burn in them because they bare truth are not placating the ego as would be our wish.
Reverential fear of the Lord is not a relic of the past it is revived.
We pledge allegiance to the King of Kings and His kingdom.
It is only by Jesus that we will change and others too and come to know everything of God.
The illustration shows the false impaired half knowledge of God which must be made complete again.
Three scriptures that come to mind.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”2 Timothy 2:15 ESV
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”2 Timothy 3:14-17 ESV
“You shall not put the Lord your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah. You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you. And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may go well with you, and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers”Deuteronomy 6:16-18 ESV
