BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 153 ( Less is Greater, Greater is less ).

“Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Ancient paths are those which stand constantly as God’s truths.

The same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We are constantly hearing of moving into the New and there are decisions to make regarding the new but based on the ancient truths that never alter.

We find peace, rest in our soul by seeking the good way to walk forward based on the constant ancient truths.

To simply go back to the old ways may not be where God is pointing us and part of why that has not happened because weaknesses, that have developed in the old need to be reformed, generations progress and move on.

The pivotal moment when we may be told to throw our nets on the other side for results requiring agility and responding to new choices.

Jesus has already proclaimed that He was the one who came to proclaim good news, bind up the broken hearted, free the captives, release those imprisoned in darkness, comfort those mourning. Bestow. crowns, bring oils of joy and praise and restore.

His assignment is now in us to fulfil.

To go make disciples of all nations.

The first time Jesus came was for our salvation.

The second time He comes is to rule His church, His people already saved into eternity.

Always His mission is for redemption and to restore

To bring everything back to what He first intended.

We do not have to be experts just obedient one step at a time leading others along the right way. Maybe one step ahead but realising our purpose and gifting practically.

It is more Monday to Saturday focused Church where God is moving in His body. Buildings may be remaining shut or reduced in functioning.

The church is still active.

We can still make the most of this living in the present not in the past or the future.

This moment is important.

The cross road where we walk the ancient paths of truth out in prayer, witnessing and discipleship following the Holy Spirit.

“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end,”

The illustration shows the world whirling through Coronavirus days. The spectrum of the Holy Spirit also moving and we as church standing at a cross roads time.

Looking at the ancient paths and making decisions on where the New move is taking us right now.

Three scriptures that come to mind:

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:1-4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.”‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:11-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬
