We are never in the middle of nothingness.
Biblically going through something or somewhere is common place.
It is the place of being in transition.
It is the place of being in the middle.
It is the place of having set off from one place and not yet having reached the new destination.
It is the place of NOW.
God is in the now.
If we linger or cling to where we were or set our sights too quickly on where we are to be we might miss a supremely powerful encounter with Jesus in our lives right now.
An encounter that puts past experience into perspective.
An encounter that enlightens and prepares for the future.
Remember it was in the middle of the lake, in the middle of the storm, in the middle of the boat, the disciples had their closest encounters with Jesus.
It was in the middle of the wilderness, in the middle of the Red Sea, in the middle of the lion’s den God was encountered.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
God does His greatest works in the “middle,“ in the “ through” Zones.
It is never a “nothingness” to be past without some attention to its intention.
God is present in the “ now”don’t be in too much of a hurry!
To miss Him and what He is revealing or saying in the “now” would be to miss so many opportunities and blessings.
Even Jesus nearly missed His first experience of a miracle.
In the middle of His journey from Jerusalem to Capernaum He stopped off at a Cana Wedding where it took His mother Mary’s prompting for Him to change the water to wine in the middle of the feast.
That set up the word to go before Him to Capernaum of this great miracle thus preparing the way and expectation for the season of 70/80 more miracles, mostly in the Capernaum vicinity, to reveal Him and His kingdom.
We must stand in the present and recognise its significance.
Be content and alert not missing it by agitating to be elsewhere in the past or in the future.
Savour the experience, the opportunity to encounter.
God moves consistently from glory to glory always.
Breakthrough is not for the future and needing to be reached we are passing through it always.
Grasp the “here and now”not the put off “one day.”
God is not “one day “ He is “everyday”.
Stop waiting for tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
“Today is the day that the Lord has made.”
The illustration shows you in the middle but not of nothingness. The Spectrum swirling into the glory that surrounds you. Light casting off darkness.
Two scriptures that come to mind:
“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”Isaiah 43:1-2 ESV
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV
