“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
“Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity.”
When fear of the Lord returns so will glory in equal measure.
Fear, awe, respect, reverence is a pathway to tread to return to God’s favour.
A trembling church is due to arise.
God will restore to us trembling as we are renewed in seeing how big and powerful He is.
He makes the darkness tremble.
Coming are the days when a wise church shall rise.
There will be a terror of being outside of Christ but there will be a hunger to tremble in His presence.
We will devour His word and the truth will soften our hardened hearts.
There has been a time of walking alongside and for some that intimacy has been divine.
For some sadly familiarity breeds a contempt and a forgetting of the righteousness of our first love.
In forgetting this we have slipped into the ways of the world and become unrecognisable from it.
There is a big distinction between what has been tainted and what the bridegroom is now seeking out.
Those to be His unblemished, spotless bride.
“that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,”
What does it cost? Everything. What does it gain? Everything.
Love is to fear and honour.
His promise is to come in and eat with us.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
When fear returns so will glory.
Those in the bible quoted as encountering in the fear of the Lord, such as Moses, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Daniel, John, we’re also lit alight to shine, cast down or liberated, given power.
Fear is a word used over a thousand times in the bible.
A third of those occasions relating to fear of the Lord.
Our fear of the Lord should outweigh any we have for the enemy or the world.
He far outranks and out powers both.
Whoever has our fear we give power and first priority and respect to.
It is He alone who lifts us up.
Jesus makes the darkness tremble.
He alone we fear.
The illustration shows an egg symbolic of creation, life, new birth, purity, what came first.
It’s complete provision broken open to be revered and marvelled at its potential.
Its yolk spilled out and over, as God’s glory spills over us.
As darkness is dispelled.
Six scriptures that come to mind:
