We are encountering a time when many people are experiencing varying needs.
None of which to be in any way belittled or diminished because they have immediate impact upon our daily lives right here and now.
Our greatest need, however, is to hear about Jesus.
Not only does that impact our here and now but our eternity!
I have the faith that there are people in the world right now who, even a short time back would have had deaf ears and blind eyes, are more and more in a place to receive a deeper knowledge and understanding.
I am believing in time right now where Jesus is walking close and beckoning us to a ripe harvest field.
There are people who have had the prayer on their lips which He cannot refuse to respond to.
Lord if you are real show me prove it. Amen
Things have changed.
People have changed.
We may not have a choice in some aspects.
Our churches may have regulations and restrictions to legally abide by but it depends on how we respond.
No one is stopping us from sharing the gospel good news as individuals.
The church is different but God is not.
God is in the moment.
“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”
We do have the choice to stand up and speak out.
He and we can draw more people to Him because more people are looking for Him.
It may be that whilst we are tempted to bewail a different Christmas this year.
God is right there waiting to touch more hearts.
As people seek out the baby that is to be called Emmanuel.
They may actually really see and encounter.
The different season may offer even more opportunities.
Christ ceaselessly calls:
come and follow,
come and join me ,
come close.
Help us to say “Here I am Lord send me.”
Help us to come closer to all, stand next to them.
People who’s greatest need is to hear about and receive Jesus.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, that instead of being the Wisemen bringing prophetic gifts to the baby after Christmas, we were bringing lots more through the doors as they open up, to worship.
If we were the harvesters bringing in the harvest to our buildings.
As the Christmas Carol says.
What can I give Him?
Give Him my all.
