“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
The word for the year 2020 has been identified as “ unprecedented”.
Few people have risen from their beds every morning with a shout “ Yes! I’m glad to be alive!”
God has encouraged us to have a deeper intimacy with Him and there, lies much healing.
“Taste and see that I am Good”
Being intimate is not just in getting to know His word and communicating in prayer or worship.
Times set aside to draw close.
As important as these bonds are I would say intimacy is also taking time to be in the now, where God is present, and enjoying it.
Good things are sent by Him.
We are provided for in all circumstances and can make a choice of how we respond every minute in every circumstance.
We may be made accountable for what we have not enjoyed!
Could it be a sin not to enjoy what God has sent?
We are called to obey and yes,that in some seasons, may come alongside fasting but He equally calls us to feast and that comes alongside thanksgiving!
We cannot be so dutiful or so busy and dismissive that we do not linger and enjoy the peace and joy of His presence in every small thing
That is the rest place He would have us live our whole lives from and that is where our strength comes from that sets us apart and that the world envies,
That is the place we can tangibly sense He is now more so pulling us back into.
To pursue complete dwelling in, being immersed in this dynamic communion always.
Living in the moment.
“For He is Good”
Thanksgiving and gratitude is our entry into God’s presence.
It is our way of life.
The audible ,”I must get on”. “No time.” “Woe is me.”
Is the voice to be stilled.
Thanksgiving is the way of the Lord just as it is the way to the Lord
The illustration is that of being lifted up out of the worlds dark desperate to the Place of peace and joy that pushes back the dark.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!”Psalm 100:4 ESV
