That’s what a polished cut, diamond does from every facet to create such beauty.

The value of the jewellery comes not from the setting but from the quality of the stone.

Were it to be put in its box or the hand that it was upon be inside a pocket nothing would emanate at all.

How like God’s love this ‘jewel of great value’ is.

Each facet reflects a different aspect of God’s love and together they form the fullness of truth that love is.

The word or truth of God’s love is fulfilled in the life of every believer when it is displayed or reflected from their heart too.

It is an eternal, never ending love just like the symbolism of the ring in which it is set.

The Father’s love for His Son.

The Son’s love for His Father and for us.

Our love for both via the Holy Spirit.

The diamond, the love, always has the same effectiveness but it depends upon how the light is reflected from it to be visible.

God continues to cut, refine, clean and polish it as it resides in our heart .
Each time it is brought out and revealed it has additional glory to behold.

Jesus continually washes us cleaner as our Servant King in the same way as he humbly served all in His life on earth and in His humility in washing His disciple’s feet at the last supper.

We might recall His conversation with Peter who felt it wrong to have his feet washed by his master.

It is only by our submitting to and because of this cleansing of Christ that our love can represent His in worthiness.

Empower, enable and allow us to give life to and to reflect the multifaceted love of God in this world.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

This is the wonder of the Servant King we behold born in the manger.

Love never ends.

Love always reflects Light in our darkness.
