“Be humble in the presence of God’s mighty power, and he will honour you when the time comes.”
We are partakers of God’s divine nature.
God is awesome.
We are called to be humbly awesome too.
There is a lesson in the account of how Daniel prophesies to King Nebuchadnezzar by interpreting his dream of being chopped down as ruler to a place of no better status than a grass eating animal until he has humbled himself..
After seven years it looks as if he has been made humble but then goes on boastful of his awesomeness in which he rules again until you realise that he is attributing that to God’s control this time not his own.
We are called to drop our pride, the swagger of our ego, for it to die in humility.
Not, however, to polarise this to the place of being worthless as a worm or doormat.
Only to the place of knowing God’s way is always best and powerful.
We focus on Gods will, walk in His ways and recognise Him as that in us.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
It is as if we are being called out of the shallow waters of the good and pleasing and into the oceans of perfect.
Move forward to reposition, relocate be ready for new.
Not a time to rearrange chairs on the Titanic but to get off and be where we need to be positioned for God’s perfect will.
2020 has reshaped and prepared us for the growing up again from the foundational roots into the new tree of 2021 and on.

Time to step out of the old boldly with an extended stride to accelerate the momentum into the new dance God is leading us in.
The illustration shows Jesus dancing into the new with us as His child standing upon His feet to know the divine moves of the dance. The Holy Spirit spectrum within and the darkness pushed aside by it.
