“for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
God is the perfect Father.
Jesus Lord of the perfect Kingdom.
The Holy Spirit is the perfect Guide.
All the perfect parts of the Trinity are personified by Love and Light.
They empower us to be who we are purposed to be in the world.
The Holy Spirit navigates us through the maze and unseen.
We can boast of our weakness if it enables us to depend upon that guidance.
If we have a good knowledge of God’s word He can navigate us through our blindest of conditions.
Through unchartered places.
He knows that we understand His instruction and guidance.
This year we are moving into unknown territory again with expectation of lifting out of the pandemic restrictions.
We have a conviction that the way forward is going to be a ‘new normal.’
What has died in 2020 has to be left behind.
We have got used to it saying ‘Shut’ or ‘ Closed’.
There has never been a vacuum, hibernation or deep frozen put on hold.
God has been working in us all.
Renewal and transformation has been going on in our minds and in our hearts plum lined by the Holy Spirit realigning us in the certainty and knowledge that isolation, closed, shut, silent is not our design.
Butterflies are meant to fly not remain trapped, cocooned or buried.
We are not meant to be just products of our environment we are designed and created in God’s likeness.
Open the windows and set us free.
We will be the atmosphere changers.
From dark to light, from stale to fresh, from dry to flowing, from turmoil to peace from sadness to joy, from dead to alive.
We have the authority to change what violates or displaces that which is not ordained by God.
When we begin again to speak out from and share that from the store house of our hearts we will find new treasures of hope.
There will be new openness, new common ground, new common values, new priorities, unity and resolve.
We have all been in places of suffering and weakness.
We are all stronger and closer to God as a result.
His power is made perfect in weakness.
The illustration shows a nut opened up to reveal the potential that has been developing inside.
The spectrum colours representing the Holy Spirit’s transformation of our own spirit.
When opened the light emanating into the darkness and transforming it also.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 ESV
But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.””Ephesians 13-14 ESV
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
“Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favour until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life.Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!”Ephesians 3:15-21 TPT
