“For as a man thinks, within his heart, so is he. “
Our challenge is to pray to God, who knows us intimately, to search our hearts and draw out those things which are, either knowingly or unknowingly, not of Him.
We require to live with Him so that we live with Him and not for Him.
Everything hinges on relational so that we can raise our eyes above what we see in the natural and be drawn up.
To live in a place of refuge.
To live in a place of strength.
To live in a place of advancement in the now.
If we look only in the now in the world we see much that is chaotic and seemingly out of control. A bleak and barren landscape.
Confusion, if we look horizontally, as to the source.
Clarity only comes partially when we see, from an elevated view point, of what God has also to bring down and break away as its foundation has evolved from man and not Him.
God is God.
He is both Yahweh and Abba.
We will not know all as He.
Only by sitting with Him does He gives some revelation through our access to Him in the spirit, in the word and in our relationship.
Some will be like John, in Revelation, where he is given power to see and hear in the spirit realm what God wants to relay and he prophesies it to us.
Some will have intimate knowledge, understanding and wisdom of the truth revealed in The Word.
Some will know and follow the conviction of the Holy Spirit in their relationship with God.
Many of us with faith will operate in a combination of a fragment of all, sensing what we know to be true, lacking in complete understanding, knowing only in part, but trusting, obeying and fulfilling our part.
The echo in our generations. Abiding in the promise in Jeremiah where God says:
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
He is our refuge however dark the clouds may appear from below from above they clear.
The illustration shows God seated on high looking down. The place He encourages us to take our refuge. Under the overshadowing of His wings. Above the storm clouds from whence we advance in His strength. Pushing back the darkness to reveal light.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
“For as he thinks within himself, so is he. He will grudgingly say, “Go ahead and eat all you want,” but in his heart he resents the fact that he has to pay for your meal.”Proverbs 23:7 TPT
“You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me.”
Psalms 139:1-5 TPT
“I was in the spirit realm on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice sounding like a trumpet,”Revelation 1:10 TPT
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”Jeremiah 33:3 ESV
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””Psalm 91:1-2 ESV

Hi Jan, as I was driving to Droitwich today thinking about a problem we had there I was saying to myself, why can’t I see what’s wrong, I was even praying about it, asking for wisdom to fix it. Then 1st Cor 13:12 popped into my head!! Great help that was. I knew where the problem lay, it was the hard wear in a robot, the customer called in a specialist team, not cheap, but they hadn’t listened to what I had said, they didn’t understand, the guys they called in were specialists on another particular machine, so after I chatted with them, they packed up their laptop and went on their way. This time I laboured the point. They rang the robot experts – based in all places, Telford! – they asked me to explain what I thought the problem was. Can sort that he said!! The customer thanked me, the client thanked me, I arranged for one of our guys to be on site to assist.
Funny, you can ask God for help, and it seems like He isn’t listening or understanding our needs. He sees very clearly and answers in a wonderful way. I couldn’t fix the robot, but He gave me direction and the right words to say, I can not boast, I fixed it, because I didn’t or couldn’t, but I can say to Pete my boss, Pete, I had to pray for help!!
You can look and not see, my two work colleagues didn’t even want to look, they felt it safer just to stand back and say nothing. How typical of a lot of people today, just carry on as you are, don’t rock the boat, don’t look up, just look down at your feet, but you miss out on so so much when you do look up, you miss out on such blessings when you talk to our Father, especially when you ask for the right things, for the right reasons, He dosen’t turn you into superman, but connects you others who can help with their gifting. One body with lots of different gifts and workings.
So, I thought it interesting today to think of that scripture, then read your blog. God is talking to us individually and corporately at the same time, lockdown or no lockdown He uses the tools of the internet to keep us connected. You can just hear Him say, I’m your spiritual YouTube, search me and I shall give you all that you need, look up (look up as in search) I’m here for you.
Sorry, it’s a little long and convoluted, but it sums up today.
God is so wonderful.
Shall listen to Kari and Codi later, I know I shall drop off, it’s a lovely soothing song.
Thanks Jan

Fascinating Dave.
Great testimony to knowing exactly what counts for you and I hope you will be the mirror that colleagues catch glimpses of who to put their trust in too when it counts! We store up many experiences that weave into a rich wisdom to share and put into practice. Enjoy your worship song! Xx
