God’s dream has to be our dream.
We are made in His image. We have to return to the place where we reflect His image.
It is almost as if we are in the time where God is lifting a mirror before us to see exactly what our image has become.
In our arrogance we must not remain blind to our flaws.
It is so easy to believe we are right and it is others who are wrong.
Now is a time we need to see more clearly not only the earthly realm but also the heavenly realm.
We need to know it and recognise it before we can exercise our authority to bring heaven to earth.
Bring His power and Glory into this world.
Bring change to our family, church, nations and world.
Bring His created kingdom together again.
We have a territory of responsibility and a purpose to fulfil there.
It is God’s dream for all division to cease.
Disunity to disappear.
Hard heartedness one to another cease.
Every nation, every tribe, every tongue all. “United as one before the throne.”
The first eleven chapters in Genesis build up what is in God’s image and creation and sin causes the down fall of this to the climax of Babel where man is so self absorbed in his own image and power that his tower has to be toppled to be destroyed to recreate God’s dream again.
We cannot truly reflect God’s image as an individual.
We can only do that in diversity but together.
As the Trinity portrays.
As being both male and female.
As being physical and spirit.
Difference matters to God but equally with no shame, no divisions, with unity.
Sin, not reflected from God’s image, enters the Garden of Eden with Satan.
Suddenly there is shame in nakedness because of the difference between man and woman.
It enters into the family where, being without unity Cain kills Able and satanic words come from him speaking “am I my brothers keeper?”
There is loss of responsibility for each other as the family.
Earth is corrupted by self seekers no longer fruitful as intended but self desire seekers and with violent mindsets.
Therefore the destruction of unity in community.
The flood washes this clean for a fresh start and Noah’s descendants create the many nations God intended.
From common origin and again in God’s image and will.
Fractured again by becoming out of God’s will when men think they are greater than each other and God and division and disunity invades again.
We desire our own kingdom greatness instead of the kingdom of God.
We again need to be saved from ourselves trying to outdo instead of being corporately equal.
We are made in the image of God to bless not to overpower and hate.
To be fully connected not fragmented .
It requires the renewing of our minds as in Romans 12 and based on our concept from Genesis of what God’s image is.
The image of God is family, together and unity.
The illustration shows God’s eyes closed as He dreams His dream of the image of Himself and His creation as it was intended in Eden. Unity unbroken and darkness pushed away by light.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!””Revelation 7:9-10 ESV
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”Romans 12:2 ESV
“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.”Galatians 5:14-15 ESV
