Jesus stays to walk hand in hand alongside those He entrusts Himself to.
When we host we frequently do so on our own terms and our guests relax into our domain and ways.
God is not looking to be hosted by us.
He is inviting us up to reside with Him and partake of how He is doing things.
His mandate.
We are to make His way known.
“so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”
In Jesus’ ministry we see how he moves on and declines being hosted in some places because He knows that men will host Him how they want to which may not be how God wants to.
Moving in His spirit, will and way only takes presidency.
Not in man’s way.
“and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.”
God will use any one for His purpose for a season and then He may move on .
He has no sides in His purpose.
He remains independent.
His purpose to be fulfilled.
Where it is evident that people have gone their own way and forgotten God He will move on and leave them in exile until they seek Him and are ready to be hosted again.
“If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. “
There is no side for any of us to be on other than on God’s side.
We too remain otherwise independent.
Scripture clearly gives indicators of Who and what God stands for and that if we know Jesus we know the Father.
Jesus is the measuring stick of God, His will and His kingdom.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
God is committed to His own purpose and whoever is co-labouring with Him is hosted by Him.
He is in His kingdom.
In His purpose.
In His will.
We are wired to know but have to choose to tune in to discern what the Holy Spirit says.
We are not here to take sides and have our opinions.
We are here to obey.
We are here to take over the ways of Man born only of Adam.
We are here to outpour the abundance of God’s love , purpose and the reign of His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
God uses people mightily who He hosts.
Those who Jesus entrusts Himself to.
The illustration shows the intimacy of walking hand in hand with Jesus being hosted in His kingdom. Alight with the Holy Spirit and pushing back the darkness.
