“Seek more of his strength! Seek more of him! Let’s always be seeking the light of his face.”
The temptation is to fill our diary and time with activity and action. We have a sense of purpose in a busy schedule.
We like being people pleaser’s but is that at the expense of being a God pleaser.
Our being trumps our works.
The question is when do we pull away from our schedule to encounter the Lord?
Or conversely when do we schedule time into our diary and safe guard it for time with our most important Friend.
Jesus.
So we may not feel guilty to say sorry I can’t do that I have something else in my schedule.
The appointment with Him is important.
He is the most important one we put first.
He is the one we give our loyalty to.
He is our first love and takes presidency.
“Turn to me.”
Proximity has importance.
We only hear His whisper when we are still and leaning in to hear intentionally.
It is only when we draw aside that we can seek.
What needs to be declared over our lives?
What needs to be repented for?
What God is sifting to refine us and get rid of ugly lumps?
What God is directing us towards next?
What position is He wanting us to play from?
It is amazing how much of our private questions become corporate answers for the ‘ Body’ because it is essential for us to be together in Christ and we will ultimately make the one bride.
Even the Lord’s Prayer Jesus taught us was. “Our Father….give us this day……our daily bread.. forgive us……lead us not into temptation.”
We are so much more than I or me .
We release so much more in our lives and are so much stronger and more powerful as living stones cemented by common prayer and intercession.
The alone secret times where we come away with Jesus manifest to so much more .
We have access to the voice of the Lord.
They empower each of us yes but the multiplication creates mystical works in heaven and on earth.
We hold a dual residency of heirs seated in heaven by Jesus and children of maturity here on earth in partnership.
It is as if Jesus bids us to cease striving.
Meet Him in that place of Love.
Keep our divine appointment for encountering.
Stop confining Him by our busy schedules.
The illustration shows the Diary of what we hold important in our life schedule. What we hold important and don’t want to forget or miss the appointment with. The darkness pushed away as we spend time with Him daily.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
“Seek more of his strength! Seek more of him! Let’s always be seeking the light of his face.”Psalms 105:4 TPT
“Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.”1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV
“He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.”Psalms 23:2 TPT
“Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.”Psalms 23:4 TPT
“And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.”1 Kings 19:11-12 ESV
