“And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,“
There is an element of excitement in a sense of those days being imminent.
An outpouring of the Spirit gives hope of it being the only solution to bring light into the darkness and suddenly transform many lives.
It will be the era where the church body fulfils her purpose in the world and becomes ready to be the spotless bride that in time the Bridegroom returns for.
The key word that excites is the word ‘all’.
Past times of revivals have brought masses to knowing Jesus as they partake and witness the Spirit moving.
Suddenly bring faith and hope, power and credence to the church.
Kingdom power and rule turn things upside down.
God moves behind our back more than in front of our faces.
He doesn’t stop.
Ours frequently is the question.
How did You do that Lord?
How will you do that Lord?
His hand moves over the world whilst we are here for a special part in a relay.
We have a season and then pass on the baton to another generation.
We see when we make space and know what He is in.
God’s part is to move and ours is to notice and minister.
Have eyes to see those on the edge.
Compassion for the unbelievers.
The heart for them not to be left out from the Gospel good news which is for us all.
We hurt when a part of the body is not functioning and not quenched by the Holy Spirit.
There is assurance in the knowledge that as dark gets darker so the light gets lighter.
More people in the darkness are seeking the door to open to allow that light into their lives.
Stifling us is the spirit of fatigue, indifference, distraction , self satisfaction, self sufficiency a maybe attitude keeps God at a distance.
“Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in the Lord our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!”
We see problems but God sees solutions.
God holds no condemnation.
Jesus has already paid the cost.
We make the decision of:
Going back to the sourse.
“Buy gold from me and drink from my fountains”
Put on our rightful identity and wear white, that are not of shame so remove regret, unforgiveness and bitterness.
Remove the sleep from our eyes to see.
So taking a heavenly perspective and not an earthly one.
See Gods grace in action.
We come with lack and God multiplies what is available and gives in abundance.
We see His power at work .
God’s word is a feast.
We are here to be a doorway between heaven and earth.
To say “yes” and know that we are loved and in that Love there is promise and outpouring.
The illustration shows Christ raising His hand to declare The Spirit poured on all flesh. His light pressing back the darkness.
Six Scriptures that come to mind:
“Just as the human body is one, though it has many parts that together form one body, so too is Christ. For by one Spirit we all were immersed and mingled into one single body. And no matter our status—whether we are Jews or non-Jews, oppressed or free—we are all privileged to drink deeply of the same Holy Spirit.”1 Corinthians 12:12-13 TPT
“Behold, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If your heart is open to hear my voice and you open the door within, I will come in to you and feast with you, and you will feast with me.”Revelation 3:20 TPT
“Some find their strength in their weapons and wisdom, but my miracle deliverance can never be won by men. Our boast is in the Lord our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory!”Psalms 20:7 TPT
“So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death. For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature. Yet God sent us his Son in human form to identify with human weakness. Clothed with humanity, God’s Son gave his body to be the sin-offering so that God could once and for all condemn the guilt and power of sin.”Romans 8:1-3 TPT
“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;”Acts 2:17 ESV
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.”Joel 2:28 ESV
