God’s word is for a purpose when we hear it there is grace on being obedient and this brings forth and is conditional to blessing.
Taking up responsibility having a broken boldness and surrendering to consecrated strength, not our own, places us on the right path out of lockdown.
There is a window here of opportunity to get it right because God is making it clear that His purpose will be fulfilled with or without us.
We require courage to step out of comfort of what has been into a place of courage in faith.
Trust in the voice of God.
Step back into the fountain of living waters, not into broken cisterns hewed out by us which are flawed and no longer hold the water as cited in Jeremiah.
Scripture tells us not to fear what we hear just to be obedient and allow Him to bring into ruin the old dysfunctional to make room for the new to, flow.
As the psalms say be the dwelling places that He brings joy to.
Jesus is always the corner stone and supreme one. The one in whom we believe and put our trust.
Now is a time of refocus.
A time of asking what is key.
A time to co partner not frustrate the ways of the Lord.
A time to ensure we are listening to His voice and not that of just people.
He brings both ruin and revival as two sides of one coin.
God weaves together His revelation as He says:
“ see I am doing a new thing”.
We ask Him to search us and reveal to us what it is He sees in us and that calls us to who we are meant to be.
“ search me and know my heart.”
When Gideon came out of lockdown he firstly built an altar to the Lord and secondly pulled down that of Baal that they had all been worshipping.
Then he saw a dramatic change of walking into the vision that God had for him.
Dismantling the old preceded the conviction and establishing the new released the favour, confirmation and blessing.
Today some things that we take for granted were not even envisaged once.
The future will hold similar wonders not yet dreamed of.
Submission is to allow God to position us to the place that has most purpose and maximum power.
To choose to be as pieces on a chess board to be mobilised by Him because we know and trust His nature and His promises.
The illustration shows the structure of the purpose of God like a chess board ready for the new move of His hand above it. Listeners of His voice will be the pieces ready and willing to be chosen, to be positioned where He wills for our purpose.
Six Scriptures that come to mind:
“for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.”
Jeremiah 2:13 ESV
“So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea.”Psalms 46:2 TPT
“God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. His river flows right through the city of God Most High, into his holy dwelling places.”Psalms 46:4 TPT
“Everyone look! Come and see the breathtaking wonders of our God. For he brings both ruin and revival. He’s the one who makes conflicts end throughout the earth, breaking and burning every weapon of war.”Psalms 46:8-9 TPT
“Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realise that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.”Psalms 46:10 TPT
“And my Father himself, who gave me this mission, has also testified that I am his Son. But you have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his Word truly live inside of you, for you refuse to believe in me or to embrace me as God’s messenger. “You are busy analyzing the Scriptures, poring over them hoping to gain eternal life. Everything you read points to me, yet you still refuse to come to me so I can give you the life you’re looking for—eternal life!”John 5:37-40 TPT
