“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
Get on with the job!
It is not the hour for taking time out.
It is time to get sleeves rolled up and hands dirty.
It is time for everyone to partake and play their part.It is time to facilitate the space made and make exchanges.
It is time to be alert for enemy attack, distract in whatever way.
It is time for maturity and muscle to be acknowledged in the young.
It is time for batons to be passed on.
It is time to build to God’s blueprint.
No one is on time out.
No one is disqualified.
No one is excluded.
No one has a ceiling bar.
Get on with the job.
God wants us to trust in the risk.
To learn on the job not wait for qualification first.
To take orders from God’s leadership.
To refuse to be tethered down not to fly by man’s control freakishness.
We cannot wait for the perfection of getting all the ducks in a row.
It is God’s joy to cover us and have our backs as we stumble in action than for us to remain inactive.
God blesses courage and obedience.
God embarks upon His mission and provides as we go.
God blesses our “yes”.
Authority can be regained where it has been usurped in the past.
There is a need to wake up out of the slumber mode of the enemy.
Reclaim our crowns and sceptres of heirs that the enemy has masqueraded in.
Correct our course to co-labouring and reaping a harvest of believers.
A need to yield to God’s move.
Time to overturn the tables of the enemy being a better gatherer than we are.
Reclaim our authority as harvest missionaries.
Own what God wants us to own.
Get rid of all the life support we have been hanging on by and switch back onto full God support.
To authentic life in Christ.
The illustration shows God waking those who slumber at this time. Everyone has a part in the job in hand. It is not a time for sitting out. The darkness is pushed back by the light.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”John 1:5 ESV
“Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.””John 20:21 ESV
“In Judah it was said, “The strength of those who bear the burdens is failing. There is too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able to rebuild the wall.” And our enemies said, “They will not know or see till we come among them and kill them and stop the work.””Nehemiah 4:10-11 ESV
“who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other. And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me.”Nehemiah 4:17-18 ESV
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”Psalm 127:1 ESV
