We read in Genesis the mistake made of settling in the old place in Heran and dying there and not moving on to the new promise.
We are being prepared to move on and by keeping Jesus as the focus we will arrive ready and prepared for a new time zone with no jet lag.
We can appreciate and honour the past but not linger in that time amongst what is dead.
Remaining will cause disorientation whereas our call is to become reorientated and remain in the White light Zone with Jesus not the blue light zone of jet lag and the sensation of our body being left in one time zone and our being in another.
Wherever Jesus is we also want to be following the way written out for us so that however hard we are squeezed nothing but God’s Love drips from us.
If we become out of touch and distant we become heavier and a draw back.
Keep us accessible with the identical goal, purpose, humility that levels us all to a place of equal value.
Challenge us always to going beyond what we have known before.
Past the revelation we already have.
He is our revelatory measure.
We go into the fullness and do not stop or settle before reaching it.
We ask the Spirit to lead us where our trust is without boundaries.
The place of so many appointments we will never reflect on past disappointments.
The rivers of Living water have flown into Oceans. “The zeal of the Lord of host will do this.”
The illustration shows the Christian squeezed and God’s Love drips from him. Bringing His light to the world to press back the darkness.
Six Scriptures that come to mind:
“When Terah had lived 70 years, he fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran.”Genesis 11:26 ESV
“Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there. The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran.”Genesis 11:31-32 ESV
“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.”Genesis 12:1-2 ESV
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”Psalm 139:16 ESV
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil.
Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. …The zeal of the Lord of host will do this.”Isaiah 9:2-3, 7 ESV
