“with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. “
Time is part of our World.
Time is for us so that everything doesn’t happen at once.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:”
There is a cycle.
A circuit of time in seasons that is repetitive.
A linear timeline.
An order that gives us a past, a present and a future.
Whereas the kingdom time is now.
Walking in the present.
God was before time and the Word was with God, Jesus, who spoke all things into being in Creation.
God’s time existed before creation but there was no need for time in His eternity.
Time as we know it started in Genesis at the fall of Adam when God decreed what would be as a result of the sin that had been birthed in His Eden design of perfection.
There were 2000 years from Adam to Abraham.
2000 years from Abraham to Jesus.
2000 years from Jesus’ birth to now.
Some theologians and philosophers, on the basic recognising of a 1000 years to a day for God would link this to the six days in His creation and that we are now in the 7th, day of rest Sabbath. The final era of time. Jesus returns and eternity will have no need of Time as it will be the new world in God’s kingdom.
Blessings will be on those who are obedient is the promise in Deuteronomy and curses on those who are not and time will seem to speed up and there be an urgency to believe and make things right again.
The time to be under the Issachar anointing in Genesis where he was rewarded with a prophesy spirit which helped others know their true identity.
Time being accelerated makes it exciting to witness God moving but there being less time to rectify wrongs and get the house in order and be prepared and ready for Jesus.
Now is the time to realign to fearing the Lord again as in the testing of the Israelites in Exodus under their dark cloud where Moses encountered God face to face.
The eternal and temporal realms are not stacked vertically but swirl concentric.
The illustration shows the swirling of accelerated time between the eternal and the temporal realms. The light emerging from the darkness.
Seven Scriptures that come to mind:
“But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”2 Peter 3:8-9 ESV
For every thing there is a season and for every matter under heaven:”Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”John 1:1, 3-5 ESV
“And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.”Deuteronomy 28:1-2 ESV
““All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes that he commanded you.”Deuteronomy 28:45 ESV
“In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see.”Deuteronomy 28:67 ESV
“Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.”
Exodus 20:20-21 ESV
