Our longing to get back to church and services must be rooted in God.
God must be raised up above all else.
Anything else falls short and can be branded as an idolatry or religious spirit.
Something that Jesus would have overturned and swept out of the temple. Worshipping His Father surpassed all else.
“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
It has nothing to do with our truth and opinion and preference or even the demands our denomination hold over us it is coming face to face with Truth that is the person of Jesus.
This is not God’s desire that we re-enter into the old that was but that we enter the new spacious plan He has in store confronting what had become bad governance just as Jesus swept clean the temple from what distracted its purpose and focus from God and then confronted Nicodemus.
The religious spirit operating in our churches manifests in the body being contained, confined, controlled, compromised, it portrays complaining, criticising, condemning.
The Holy Spirit led church will release new vision, spacious, liberation, unrestricted simple, intimate, God’s presence, praise worship and Truth centred.
We are not a people of what was we are a people of who are and who live on whole truths not seduced into anything less.
The Truth is unchanged, it liberates, it challenges, it confronts and convicts and is Jesus’ standard.
Our opinions and perspectives frequently mis align and go astray.
Seeking out God takes presidency over all other motives.
He declares enough is enough regarding distraction. Truth is the doorway.
God has a plan and we have the opportunity to engage in it.
Disengage from our idols and engage in God’s purpose.
We are in error if we seek to graft God into our lives.
We graft into God’s living word and truth.
We are pulled into His divine story.
We have the tendency to hear what we want to hear. What suites us and ignore what we don’t want to hear.
Cherry picking and elevating ourselves above God will always end in tears.
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things.”
We must crush all idols we have been hanging on to, let go and be led.
The illustration shows us as a child of God hand in hand with the Holy Spirit. Led in the divine dance in pursuit of God’s purpose and story. The spectrum light of the Spirit pushing back the darkness.
