“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,”
Look into the eyes of Jesus. The future is in His eyes.
This is a time for us to abide in the upper room. The upper room being for us a place to wait, rest, abide in the Lord’s presence, pray remain at peace and safe. “but to wait for the promise of the Father, “
God is wanting to prepare the way for a season of divine acceleration.
A season where He will do an awesome thing amongst us which will reveal Himself to the world showing our God to be the one that the world needs as He was needed in Moses’ Exodus.
“I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.”
The upper room is a place of enabling, impartation, of boldness and empowerment.
“they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”
The disciples were equipped to go out and Preach the gospel and about Jesus in a place where they had been forbidden and a place post the crucifixion where followers had receded.
God is making this upper room time a place where He is reintroducing to those with, eyes to see and ears to hear, and hearts to receive , to His power.
To become the Ekklesia to claim and build His kingdom on earth.
A new assignment not confined to each personally or to the church body but to be exposed to all to choose.
To believe that Mighty deliverance and healing will again be witnessed and all will know that our God is the Lord.
We are to be ignited with a new fire to carry out to ignite all.
We have to be made ready in the upper room so that we will not be distracted to be fighting for the wrong things as the disciples who asked Jesus “who was the greatest?”
“Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.”
We all have a purpose and a role in the kingdom.
Paul as Saul, who persecute Jesus, was a man who thought he had a purpose to do that in his religious belief and culture.
He had the Damascus road conversion that created the man responsible for the knowledge of the gospel changing lives then in his time and still now, to a belief in Jesus.
The new servant role promises thousands of conversions to create people in currently relevant churches to flourish to become the living body of Christ here on earth as it is in heaven in this new season.
God is ready to transform. His timing is always perfect. He makes us ready and hungry and thirsty. Look into the eyes of Jesus. The future is in His eyes.
The illustration shows the eyes of Jesus full of light, love and fire. Visible always through the earthquake, wind and fire. Bearer of the Holy Spirit fire of this hour igniting His people with the kingdom purpose each has. Bringing forth the light to push back the darkness.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
“The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!”Matthew 6:22-23 ESV
“And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.””Acts 1:4-5 ESV
“And he said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.”Exodus 34:10 ESV
“And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”Acts 4:31 ESV
“But not so with you. Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.”Luke 22:26 ESV
