We have a purpose unto ourselves and to others.We are called to occupy a space and bring clarity to the vision within it.
If our vision is clouded we only have partial clarity and yet may genuinely believe we see the whole. God may want us to extend the cords and see a bigger vision as expansively as His will. Or He may want to fine tune the focus with greater clarity and accuracy.
We have an inheritance, a legacy to take hold of. He may want to assign us to a place or environment where we belong and from where we will flourish.
For the woman with the issue of blood it was at the hem of Jesus’ robe, for Zacchaeus it was up a Sycamore tree, for Esther it was within the palace , for Moses in the bulrushes.
Our openness and obedience to His prompting has us lingering in the right place and not the wrong for His purpose.
We have a seat of opportunity and influence.
God creates places for people, not people for places.
“ In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Often He decrees angels to go ahead and prepare a way. He knows exactly where He wants us to be. Only if we are stubborn will we die on the mountain where we were not intended to be. He promises to make the way for us.
“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.”
God is building a kingdom for us to live in. It is not a location or a building it is a life. God and His church are not confined to a building they are who they are with the freedom of wherever they are being as their dwelling.
It is all about His face to face presence. The place where Joshua lingered. A place of encounter and connectedness.
Encounter with God is relational and full of constant surprises. We carry what we encounter here and into eternity. The building, location, the regulations, restrictions religiosity and procedures will be left behind.
God is breaking out the boxes we have put Him in.
Every moment becomes an opportunity for love, courage and relationship. A place for us to draw together around the feast table where we are at peace. The kingdom is with us.
Revelation of this place may come to us in the valley because we come to the realisation that we are not alone in the valley. It is only in the kingdom and His presence that we breathe peace.
“For the fountain of life pours into you every time that you find me, and this is the secret of growing in the delight and the favour of the Lord. “
The illustration shows the bi-image of God and Jesus and the word from their mouth. The Holy Spirit as the dove finding His dwelling place in our heart. Their light pushing back the darkness.

Hello Jan hope you well.
It was an interesting reading today, talking about cloudy vision and thinking that what we see is the whole picture. My eyesight is getting worse (good old, old age!) using the computer more and more at work hasn’t helped. But when I write a letter or do an electrical design drawing, it’s amazing how a little mistake can make such a huge difference. Seeing clearly is so important isn’t it, even when reading something, it’s so easy to see what we want to see. I was only thinking about the letter Specsavers sent only last week a letter saying it was, well a long time since I had graced their doorway, or was it greased their palm! But they were correct, my eyesight does need checking, I need new glasses, and they need to check the healthiness of my eyes, something I can not do. The same goes for my spiritual eyes as well, they need testing and checking as well, thank God we have a loving caring physician who does not wait four years and then sends a letter, which if you have bad eyesight is not a good idea 😂. The word of God is our eye chart and the Holy Spirit is that machine that looks deep down into our eyes searching out all that is wrong. So it is time to go to ‘both’ for me.
