“Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!”
The vision of a fresh green undulating landscape with no familiar markers on it feels like a new season and blank canvas but one which potentially flows rhythmically and harmoniously forwards.
A time to make way where there is no way to find space and place to plant and root.
Shaking without stirring. A time of standing ground. Firmly claiming it and resisting resilience. The wind of the Holy Spirit has its own force and power.
“that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. “
There will always be resistance by the enemy when a new way opens.
Like wind farms that have robust structures planted in the North Sea that resist being shifted or collapsing stand firm in the strong East winds with resilience and tenacity.
Standing as overcomer and victors not victims and I turn harnessing the wind power and distributing it to the land .
They stand firm in their steadfast structures like those of us steadfast and faithful in our faith persevere and stand fast.
They are structures that stand together and are part of creating a bigger resource as we are strengthened by being part of a body.
There is also a strength to be found in the flexibility of the young who withstand the new pressures and forces by being supple and bending.
Fresh sap of faith rising from within. The old and brittle being more inclined to snapping in the strong winds.
“the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; “
God supplies a supernatural strength and resilience to train us in overcoming and receiving. Being victorious.
He oversees, overcomes and already holds all answers. We rest in safety in Him.
The illustration shows the green pastures new with the wind turbines harnessing power from the Holy Spirit and Trinity. Three parts to both. The Holding firm secure and stable within the battering. The no toppling, crushing or breaking. The darkness being thrust back by the light.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!”Psalm 144:15 ESV
“Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”Ephesians 6:11-13 ESV
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.”2 Corinthians 4:7-10 ESV
“He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.”Psalm 18:34-36 ESV
