“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
We can become sick in this life in this world.
“But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.”
Jesus paid the full price to overcome sin and death at the cross. Our Spirit when joined with His in faith and belief is totally saved now and in eternity. We live in Him.
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
In heaven there is no sickness.
In this life on earth we all can experience sickness in varying ways and for varying reasons
The sickness is not in our Spirit already saved.
It can be part of our physical health in body, flesh. It can be part of our mental health our emotions, soul.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,”
Jesus is still the answer to all healing in both miraculous ways and in the anointing of science medics and medicines.
We live in a broken world where it can be of natural causes to become old and our body parts and systems less reliable or diseased and in need of intervention and assistance.
Sickness can be caused by lifestyle choices. Our diet, exercise, indulgences playing their part.
Fear however, can be a magnet for sickness. As if it has a sound in the spiritual realm that attracts the enemy. It can therefore be broken off in prayer.
“For the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.”
As can what would be discerned as generational curses. Broken by repenting, renouncing and forgiving.
“forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
Some sickness can be psychosomatic, toxic thoughts which give rise to anxiety, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness. How we think impacts our physical well being.
Paul’s words encourage us to be discerning of what we believe, what comes from God or the enemy spirit. Especially keeping short account of feeling wronged.
“take every thought captive to obey Christ,”. “be transformed by the renewal of your mind, “
Grief unchecked opens a door to loosing our joy in sadness.
“For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away.”
Despite being “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Our body chemistry can malfunction and in such cases require chemical medication to right it’s balance. Insulin for the diabetic, serotonin and dopamine for the mind.
God rescues us from all trauma .
Jesus is about healing fractured and fragmented souls nothing can not be made right in Him.
We are known. Loved and precious to the Lord.
The illustration shows each one of us fearfully and wonderfully made. Knitted together in our mother’s womb.Known loved and cherished in our identity as a child of God. Paid the price for on the cross to be over-comers.
