“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
Sometimes our dreams can be the breakthrough for us for what God already knows. He is both creator and Spiritual and at the right moment this needs to unfold and be revealed through us into the world.
On a practical note I love it that the Russian scientist and inventor of the Periodic Table Dmitri Mendeleev went to bed frustrated that the chemicals and elements that he worked with were so confusing.
He had a dream which included organising columns that substances poured into and became orderly and from this dream he invented and created the periodic table that we recognise today.
I believe that this bridge was a divine down load from God to someone at the exact time of being ready to perceive , understand and use the concept.
I find it fascinating that Quantum theory scientists have discovered so much and yet have put their understanding on hold for a period because of there seeming to be no answer to an unanswerable fact are motivated to again now pick it up in the light of where they now understand to start theorising anew.
God can reframe things in the light of where He is moving and what He chooses to reveal to be adopted or reformative in the world. This is break through.
Repetitive and echoing is not creative. Being frustrated with something as it is is like wearing a badge which attracts God’s gifting to bringing about something new and to being a pioneer.
Frustration must bring a solution. How does God bring about a solution often in a dream or a word.
The interpretation and the means He can equally supply to those discerning enough to recognise and ask because we recognise God’s hand is upon it.
Also when we are in the place of not making everything about ourselves. We recognise increasingly the significance of God in discovery. Many scientists discover God.
Spiritual truths are equally discovered in recognition and relationship with Jesus at the centre.
Dreams take us to a place that is God inspired.
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
If we yield to God He will reshape us to best fit the new our new place or dream.
Many of us testify to having dreamed more recently.
Our recent experience of pandemic and lock down has had the effect of reshaping us all. As we come out of it we discover we are emerging in a new shape.
As we go forward we discover we do not fit into our old clothes or positions.
God has changed the size of our yearning into a wider spacious place or a narrower defining pathway but whichever it is changed.
Many of us will discover we no longer fit well perhaps where we once felt connected.
We certainly must not become so busy looking back that we remain stuck and don’t have time to move forwards.
Sometimes we need delivering from the old which is restrictive to our new shape.
Our dreams have made us determined courageous. We may be pleased to wear a new mantle of a different colour.
Take hold of God’s promise and step out in it. For some that may be as transformational as in Genesis where God days “Go”.
“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.”
For others it may be purely to hold a new focus on worshipping knowing that God dwells in our praise.
“But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.”
It may simply be letting go and taking the hand that Jesus offers as He says “come”
If we feel we no longer fit the old shape we had then we resist being pulled, tethered or squeezed back.
We step into the space we fit. We don the mantle that suits. Pursue the call , the dream that we hear. Take up the trail that leads to the goal we dream of.
Our dreams can bring determination to change.
The illustration shows a dream to find Jesus and being shown the way forward as being one way only. He alone can reveal that when we seek. We step forward determinedly into that way not knowing the entire route until we are on it and in progression. Both the journey and the destined dream bring light to the darkness.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”Jeremiah 33:3 ESV
“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.”Genesis 12:1-2 ESV
“But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.”Psalms 22:3 WEB
