“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
This is the resurrected life that God sees us in the light of. Sin has been dealt with at the cross. We have been redeemed and it is no longer the old self filled us that God sees but the new creation of who we are in Christ, Christ in us.
We have been incorporated into the divine dance with the Trinity and move and are as one.
Our sin filled self dead and our resurrected self seated with Christ going the distance with God as our first love.
Resting in that place our life style is determined and generated and we are becoming more the pure bride that Jesus becomes as one with.
“ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”
Our ministry emanates from Him alone. Ministry is not our mistress as if we were divorced from God. Ministry is all His.
He alone will move and change individuals and Nations but we are called to co- labour knowing and relying always on Him.
Daniel knew that he would be led by no other and turned daily his devotion and his actions over to trust and rely on His power. His obedience and allegiance was to God first above all other.
Much was revealed to Daniel and in turn his word was trusted and respected.
Elijah knew and put God first when he was prompted to stay and rest by the brook his needs were provided for.
As his provision dried up he recognised the prompt to move on . He listened and obeyed God and move on to Zarephath. In his obedience he was again provided for.
We can relax and rest in knowing God first as He increases and we decrease in our relationship as He provides for us the water, food and oil that feeds our spirit.
It is pivotal to knowing we put Him first and in so doing we know who and where we are and that we are aligned.
We don’t need to know answers to when, where, what but we most certainly need to know Who we answer to and identify with.
In Genesis it is interesting that after the fall when the disobedience in the garden of Eden allowed the sin to exist. God said “where are you Adam?”
Of course our omnipotent, omnipresent God knew where he was so the question was meant for Adam to be aware that he was no longer in God’s presence in the same way but separated by disobedience, sin and in the world and now the enemy’s presence and domain.
The inner relationship and connection of safety and peace lost to the contention of noise and chaos. To loss of control to what God had placed in man’s rule.
A door closed until the coming of the second Adam in the man of Jesus Christ. The living sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and in the resurrection, the overpowering of death.
We are invited to be still and look deeper than the surface water and see the abundance of fish in the water’s depths awaiting our vision and strength to not just think about change but to be part of implementing the change to open the flood gates into this new phase.
We have worked out at the gymnasium and built up our muscle for such a time as this time. Muscle strength grows after exercise, not during, when the muscle is at rest it gains power. Just a sweet rest in Christ, gain His power.
Now by resting in, abiding in and becoming one in the Trinity God can put that strength into action bringing light to the world.
“Behold the old has passed and the new has come “
The illustration shows the new creation we become in Christ. The spectrum unity representing spiritual unity. The resurrected Christ ascending as overcomer of sin and death in this world. We filled with the same resurrection power in our abiding bring His light to the darkness.
