“But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.”
God is ever present and has all things for our requirements in His hands. In His mercy He waits until we are ready to use what He has to give.
He does not withhold in punishment or discipline but only because we need to be matured, malleable, prepared and enabled to steward what he gives.
What has been our wave of blessing in one season can become a burden in another.
We have to hold on to lightly and know when to let go and to reach up to take hold of the next.
There is always movement and flow. He is pulling us now into new anointing.
Anointing breaks yokes that fitted fine in our earlier maturity but which we have now outgrown.
“And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.”
The new anointing is in the supernatural spiritual power carried by the Holy Spirit.
We will receive power if we move willingly into the place where the anointing is and from that place steward the anointing to serve well.
We loose power lingering in a place no longer anointed and will serve falsely there.
God narrows our path to get us into the place of fulfilment where we were preordained for to go forward from glory to glory.
The transformational place which we may be called, at a later time still, to replicate and pass on to others as it is not perhaps always to be done by us.
Whilst we are called to chase anointing above worldly trappings we are equally called not to hang on to yesterday’s word if it is time for it to be laid down.
The easiest option of status quo may seem to just carry on faithfully.
We perceive that where we are is the fullness when in fact it is but a step in our journey. Whilst God measures with grace He requires our yielding to shift us on for the greater prize and reward.
The being in the will of God supersedes all other acquisitions.
On occasions our road may be one of cost and sacrifice to step into our anointing but to have tried to stop the flow stills it and is no longer alive.
We all mature and grow. The “yes “ we said 40 + years ago may have changed and need rededicating by a renewed “Yes” that is current for today’s anointing.
God’s vision is expansive, without boarders.
What is not yet on our radar of readiness for may be on His horizon and to shortly be our line and aim.
We need to be ready to be surprised and hijacked and not too prescriptive in our own schedules and planning.
Our temptation is to package up tidily in our own understanding and knowledge and in so doing becoming immovable and unteachable.
God blesses His course and our surrendering. It is good for us to travel lightly.
In obedience we allow God to upgrade our blessings.
The illustration shows God with gifts, blessings, anointings Ever at the ready and available to those submitted and ready to steward and serve. The dove representative of spiritual gifts and power the child the gifts of purpose. An ongoing flow of what the transformation unfolding. The revelation and light pushing back the darkness and widening the horizons.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“And in that day his burden will depart from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because of the fat.””Isaiah 10:27 ESV
“But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.”1 John 2:20 ESV
“Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. ……..
So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”Luke 14:27, 33 ESV
