“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.“
God is the redeemer of all things for good.
He is a love force and power that cannot be contained. He has an invitation for everyone.
Linger for a while and people watch and there are multiple occasions where love is in evidence where the kingdom principles can manifest as people put others before themselves in varying degrees and even in a fallen world we see it cannot be snuffed out.
We are surrounded by love.
As Christians Jesus is enthroned not just in heaven but within our renewed heart we are clothed in Him and have said yes to becoming as one with Him. His bride.
Jesus is king and rules a kingdom of love.
We wear His wedding garments as His bride and are secure and safe in His kingdom and reign in His righteousness.
God constantly pruning those things out of our lives that would discredit His reign because He cannot reign in sin or be represented by it.
Sadly those not in the relationship with Him and not reigning in His kingdom there are consequences because of that choice.
The reason the Holy Spirit ceaselessly attempts to convict. Within us and through us to others. The invitation is for everyone not just a few but it has to be accepted.
“there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
The purpose of the King is to invite everyone in and then to accomplish gathering others by sending those citizens clothed in Him out to win over and enlarge the kingdom.
There will be no revival without a concern for the lost. God equips us by His Spirit with His power to do this.
We are always in the presence of the King of heaven. He is always in us. He does not come and go as a visitor would.
Our advantage and privilege is that He who sits on the throne also resides in us and He has already conquered sin, and death and has authority over all things.
We have that authority in His name to equally exercise to the full. It is not ours it is His to use for others. Our reason to worship Him in His glory.
There are kingdom principles and rules that He always abides in and we must likewise.
We are waiting for revival but it is really God is waiting for us to be prepared and ready. He will always be ready to lead us in the triumphant procession when that time is right.
The King of heaven is in the new heart that he has given us. Everything will be added unto us.
Everything is taken care of by Jesus. Ready to display His splendour. Manifest love in unity. At one with Him as His glorious body.
The illustration shows eternal rings of betrothal. God redeeming His people into the unity of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit working for love and good in all things. The blood of salvation conquering at the cross and bringing light to push back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.””Matthew 22:11-14 NIV
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour.”
Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”Ephesians 4:1-16 NIV
