“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
God is moving to unseat the chaos that the enemy promotes in the world and in us in our depths internally.
The internal whirlwind is stopped by Jesus just as He stilled the storm in the boat that He was present in asleep and at peace in the solidity of trust in His Father.
His peace in us residing and enthroned within our hearts grounds us in unshakable hope and gives us peace and clarity to see through the mist of indecision breathed out by the enemy.
He is not saying get into the arc for survival and static floating safety in this time but to get into the boat and take command. Take up the duel paddled oar and co-row yoked with Him.
De-couple from the eyes shut roller coaster of chaotic white knuckle ride and look straight into the eyes of Jesus and resting in His peace move along in His timing and security.
Shalom or peace is not just still, calm and quiet but in its fullness of meaning is sound, wholeness, completeness, inner wellbeing.
Jesus is giving Himself when He says My peace I give you and leave with you.
He possesses, owns and embodies peace and in His giving it to us it becomes a sacred bestowment that the enemy has no hold over.
The wholeness He bestows is where nothing in us is broken, damaged or missing or out of timing therefore total equilibrium and peace. Freed from the attacks of the enemy.
“Satan the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me,”
Jesus has power over Satan and Jesus is perfect peace, wholeness, completeness, sound mindedness.
An internalised kingdom of God place as it is in heaven.
When we accept Jesus into our lives there is an exchange of the giving our lives to Him and He His to us and He takes away what He has overcome and has the right to.
He Removes inner fragmentation, brokenness and chaos. We become whole.
“that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Our timing and discernment in alignment with God are focused, ordered, undistracted and resting in His knowing and control not our own.
We become like a child in the kingdom. This is our weapon of war that the enemy cannot come against.
The enemy cannot shift, harm or usurp us as we rest in peace in God. We are instead dethroning chaos, stress, anxiety and operating in survival mode.
Our belief in what Jesus has bestowed upon us removes the limp, the fatigue the unresolved, the unknown.
God takes all these and deals with them on our behalf as we unclench our grasp and surrender them to Him.
When our hands are open and empty of all else He can lay His gifts of love and peace into them.
God is on a rescue mission.
We cannot claim rescue by demanding as a right but only in child like faith, open handed and humility.
A child knows they don’t know, they are not in control but there to be led and cared for and kept safe. They are expectant and trusting and rest in peace not knowing any of the answers but surrendered and yielded.
In the kingdom from glory to glory is from Christ like to more Christ like.
In the kingdom promotion is reversed. From independence to dependency. From know all to not needing to know. From need to strive for more to rest. From being best and first to just being. And more of the similar.
God calls us to go willingly into the unknown so that we can rely on Him in that place.
To be on the edge so that He can teach us. To be moving just to keep up with and together.
Knowing the joy in the God of answering. Knowing the joy that I have no need to know how, what, when, where, who? Knowing humility as Jesus was prepared to humble Himself.
“ in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, “
Knowing a joy in not knowing!
The illustration shows Jesus open handed giving His peace and the mirror image of us open handed to receive. Jesus in our heart and we in His. This peace that the world cannot give being the light that pushes back the darkness.
