“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
In this space now God is stretching and expanding our hearts and increasing our capacity to love and know Him.
It is in this greater capacity that we will be better equipped to partner and cooperate with Him.
“I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!”
To skip this part would be to result in faulty foundations. It is the hidden work that needs to be done first to enable us to stretch out the pegs of our tent, to produce the good crop for harvest.
To be prepared for all that is to come. To not get the cart before the horse.
We have to be pushed out to the very edges and beyond. Stretched past what is comfortable and beyond.
“so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
The cost of stretching may be painful because it often has to be sacrificial. The ultimate to expanding love. The yielding of our hearts to be made supple enough to be moulded. To say His will be done not mine.
Yesterday’s anointing and capacity is not going to be enough. Nothing must stand in the way. The new season requires a desperation. It requires a new measure of conviction.
It requires new anointing on the word and new levels of the Holy Spirit .
This increased anointing will be tangible on leaders. Be tangible in prayer and intercession.
There will be a greater hunger for the supernatural realm. There will be more evidence of a setting apart of individuals.
The miraculous will become known in the mundane and day to day lives of even our children, youth and new generations.
“And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”
God stretches out His arms and wings wide and says “let the people come”
We engage with Him, with each other in community as One. We remain woven, knitted in togetherness one in the diversity of every nation and culture.
“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
The illustration shows the widespread arms or wings of God as He soars like the eagle above all. The spectrum of colour as spirit and light and representative of all inclusive woven within the unity of one. The light pushing back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”John 17:21 ESV
