“Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.……Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
The battle in the kingdom are not equal.
“The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light.”
God’s is greater and more powerful and already has the victory.
We are not on the back foot if we know our identity. We at rest and passive have dominion over what the enemy strives and is in warfare over. We without noise or being physical have the power and energy in our quiet and peace.
No demons can stand in the place of Light from the Lord and so bathed in it and reflecting it we rest and we wear protective armour similar to that described in Ephesians.
God’s kingdom is ever expansive and increasing with no end. The only striving which is biblical is to entering and being in His rest.
We are not running with our soul life, our logic and our previous training in the way we have been accustomed but with the Holy Spirit. Light emanating and pushing back the darkness.
Together to arise where He has us go now. We have to hand over anything that has disgruntled or offended us in how we perceived God to have allowed or led us to this place and we have to be cleansed and to rest in peace before we move on.
There was a necessity for Moses leading the Israelites through the desert era where there was dissatisfaction.
“For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses?”
But at the end of that era it was imperative for Joshuas leadership into the new era and into the promised land. To take forward a cleansed and re-mantled generation, fit for the next purpose.
“For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on.”
We are possibly feeling rattled as old structures we were familiar and comfortable with are seemingly being dismantled for the way forward.
Away from man’s and back to biblical, replacement of mindsets and domination. Our soul life realm untethered as we are freed into our spirit life realm as heaven invades earth.
“O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works.”
God’s freedom is not in relationship with the position of our body but in the the Shalom and position of the spirit.
Abundant life does not mean plentiful and comfortable but in it’s Shalom.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
God is now reassuring us that He knows exactly how we feel and perceive these times because feeling troubled, suffering, displaced is part of life in this world and to be expected what is crucial is how we deal with it. If we have this on the outside but inside we know an inner reality of peace because we know Jesus has already overcome the world.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
We can rest in the storm as Jesus rested in the boat in the storm. Also we have faith and power to speak and still the storm.
This place of rest is a realm further and deeper than the realm of signs and miracles as from it stems our expectation and conviction of the latter.
This is the root of the new revival we are on the brink of. The power in the place of resting in the spirit in a place of Shalom.
Praise propels us into the presence of God and is the power to free us from the prison of life.
The illustration shows us resting in the light of praise. That place in the spirit being the place where all giants are slain and there is freedom from the chains and prisons of this world.
Seven Scriptures that come to mind:

Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
