“he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him. But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose. And the report of this went through all that district.”
The Lord can make the impossible possible.
We are in the ‘to be awake and alert’ season . The time to be aware of all that is around us. The time to be discerning of from what source things come from. The time to be on guard against that from the enemy. The time to be prepared and ready. The time to find the high place for surveillance. The time for action.
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come.”
The enemy will conspire to confuse and distract our focus.
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”1 Peter 5:8 ESV
Our greatest power, protection and weapon will be our prayer.
“praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,”
It is a time to close rank and stay close. To not walk away and give up but to remain vigilant and of one heart and mind as a community. Mindful always of the other more than of the self also of the up and coming generations.
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”
Togetherness. It is United and with no divisions that we showcase strength.
“I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”
Harmony not discordance. There are too many fragmented lives. God is the only answer for there to be one mind and one voice in our midst as we align with the Holy Spirit.
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The illustration shows the plug ready to be plugged in to transform. Make the impossible possible. The action commence, the unification of the power source and appliance. All in position and ready. The switch on illumination to eradicate, push back the darkness.
